| 25 hour update | 28 Jun 2005 14:26 GMT | 15 |
No sign of Otis at all. We've hand delivered 96 fliers, posted fliers in the local shopping center, called by-law services (trapped cats), posted on Pet-Lynx, went to the SPCA and filled out a report and searched cages, talked to the neighbours. It's cold and raining. I'm ...

| Is this a commentary? | 28 Jun 2005 14:06 GMT | 64 |
I'd been to the store and when I got home I immediately stripped off my brassiere and tossed it on the floor. As if that wasn't commentary enough, Persia grabbed it by one of the straps and dragged it out of sight. Either she agrees with me these are evil creations or she highly ...

| Don't tell anyone... | 28 Jun 2005 13:22 GMT | 6 |
The other night while I was lying on my back in front of the TV, Katie and Orlie both settled themselves on my chest/tummy together. In between wheezing and gasping for breath (neither of them is a lightweight) I couldn't help saying "wow, this is quite a milestone - one of the

| moderated health and behavior newsgroup | 28 Jun 2005 04:43 GMT | 5 |
We are thinking of setting one up since the Usenet version has become such a wasteland. It would be through an easily-accessible venue such as Yahoo, etc. Would anyone here be interested in participating? If so, please send me an email - address in header is valid.

| dragon boat race | 28 Jun 2005 03:38 GMT | 8 |
There are recent dragon boat races in Vancouver and Ottawa. Dragon boat race is an ancient Chinese tradition that is gaining popularity. I am wondering is it popular in other parts of the world besides

| Lots to do | 28 Jun 2005 03:33 GMT | 19 |
Most if not all of you know, I lost my job in April, 2004. Shortly thereafter, as a former military dependent and USAA member I discovered I could take out a short term medical insurance policy. I did so. It's got a $500 deductible and 80/20 coverage for hospitalization, surgery, ...

| Conan? | 28 Jun 2005 03:09 GMT | 1 |
Did Dan M. pick this kitty up today for the guy in Washington? I would just as soon have a very friendly answer than go into the h&b group. Not even subscribed to that mess. TIA!!

| I have a new baby | 28 Jun 2005 01:50 GMT | 22 |
My daughter doesnt want me to be alone without anyone to talk to even a single minute of the day. As DH will not be home for another 2 weeks from Boulder, she took me to PetSmart this morning and I adopted a little 10 week old Torti. Her name is Lily.

| Ping Howard [OT Medical Question] | 28 Jun 2005 01:48 GMT | 5 |
Howard, I've been meaning to ask you this for a while but kept forgetting... A couple of years ago I had an ECG and the doctor said I had a brachial branch blockage. He said it wasn't anything to worry about and made it sound like it was something to do with the medical equipment ...

| So Pearl has Asthma (we think) | 28 Jun 2005 01:46 GMT | 21 |
I think probably this is the cause of her fairly frequent and wierd vomiting attacks. She started this morning at 5 a.m. She has always occassionally coughed and that triggers heaving (she *does* have a hair trigger gag mechanism. Giving her laxatone or if she sniffs a food she ...

| Paddy RB. :o( | 28 Jun 2005 01:20 GMT | 28 |
I've just taken a very sad phone call from Bryony, who is my friend Paddy's daughter. He died on Thursday night from a massive heart attack, and she's been trying to get hold of me since. I'm absolutely gutted at the news. I can't believe that I'll never be

| Eve's photo | 28 Jun 2005 01:13 GMT | 20 |
I'm slowly uploading, I have my favorite picture that was taken on her birthday last year. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/gracecatt/detail?.dir=/34d9&.dnm=b42d.jpg That was how she looked all the time. Shaggy hair and huge blue eyes.

| The recovering Roadcat | 28 Jun 2005 00:35 GMT | 33 |
In case anyone hasn't read about it yet, Harri Roadcat is very ill. Tuesday she was breathing very hard, so I took her to the vet. The vet found that both of her lungs were partially collapsed and referred her to a specialist 60 miles away. The specialist found a large amount of

| Last night's "King of the Hill" | 27 Jun 2005 23:07 GMT | 5 |
So, anyone watch King of the Hill last night? It had a rather negative portrayal of cats, which I found irritating. The jist of it is, Hank Hill signs up for some military "take care of a recruit's pet while he's at war" program, and was expecting a dog.
