| Otis and the Great Pyrennes | 14 Jun 2005 15:55 GMT | 19 |
Otis had a bit of a scare today. Roxie, the Great Pyrennes two doors down, has been part of a huge custody battle and is rarely in the neighbourhood. Steve gets her for the odd weekend, his ex-wife for much of the time, and his eldest daughter the rest

| Tips on Harness Training | 14 Jun 2005 14:03 GMT | 5 |
Harvey is still demanding very loudly everyday to be let out. I am not letting him though. I would like to harness train him so that he can go out, but it is not working out. This has been the case so far:

| More pictures of the Lovable Threesome | 14 Jun 2005 13:37 GMT | 10 |
More Kodak moments presented themselves, so I got out my Kodak (DC280, for those who want to know) and took some more pictures. I got a good pose from Little Feet, Dulce Mae in her favorite spot, a black and white picture of the late-night cat conclave, and one of

| AKK! I'm Melting! [OT] | 14 Jun 2005 04:06 GMT | 28 |
OK, last summer I cut the grass every week and it resulted in me having to get a lithotripsy! With my fish-belly white skin and intolerance for even mild heat, I was really meant to be born in Alaska, but fate made a cruel mistake by plonking my #$$ down in the gulf coast.

| [ot] Ghostzapper Retired | 14 Jun 2005 00:15 GMT | 1 |
Bad news for those wanting to see Afleet Alex vs Ghostzapper in this year's Breeder's Cup horse racing series. Ghostzapper, 2004's Horse of the Year, has been retired, due to a hairline fracture discovered in the 5 year old's left front ankle.

| OT joke: Poultry in Motion | 13 Jun 2005 17:55 GMT | 25 |
A real groaner that was posted to a translators' message board that I subscribe to (and there was some talk about belling cats recently...): Zebediah was in the fertilized-egg business. He had several hundred young layers, called pullets, and eight or ten roosters, whose job was

| Tittle tattle!! | 13 Jun 2005 17:47 GMT | 11 |
I came back from walking Bonnie, my d*g (and the bane of HRFL Tiger's life) earlier. Without realising I hadn't shut the front door properly, I went and made a cup of tea. The cats are ABSOLUTELY NOT EVER allowed outside the front of my house

| Purr request | 13 Jun 2005 17:06 GMT | 17 |
I only ever seem to post purr requests these days, sorry. This request is for me, I hurt my ankle and it's doing a good impression of a purple balloon with a horrid red stripe and it *hurts*. :-(

| Back from the hospital | 13 Jun 2005 17:04 GMT | 17 |
Boy, talk about a short hospital stay! I got to the hospital for my hernia operation at 5:45 AM and was released to go home about 1:00 PM. I'm home now and not urting nearly as much as I expected to. I can't do anything for a week, so I'll spend that time further

| Jean Hobbs in Hospital | 13 Jun 2005 16:58 GMT | 21 |
I just got a call from Jean's son, who said Jean is in hospital because of heart problems. She's had an angiogram (she said it was horrible). 3 arteries are blocked; one is 100% blocked, one is 90% blocked, and one is 50% blocked. She has to

Ooop, another '80s earworm!!! Sorry everyone. :P Stinky has been on the hunt every night this week, hanging around the piano, staring under the oven. Patient little fellow. Finally paid off last night, and I found another mouse butt in my shoe. Such a
