Update from Utah: got an offer!15 Jun 2005 12:29 GMT11
I will be working at a very cool company starting on the 20th.  I
think this will be a great opportunity for me.
In other news, I am in Utah visiting my aunt.  This was supposed to be
a mountain biking trip, but the weather has been awful, so it's been
Purrs for all15 Jun 2005 06:20 GMT5
Have just come back from an excellent few days in the Isle of Wight at
the music festival, and have finally got on top of postings.  The
resident cats are back from the cattery, and have been instructed to
purr for all those in need.  Has anyone heard anything of Jean Hobbs

OT:  Bubbels15 Jun 2005 05:46 GMT10
OK - so I've tried it.  So I can't think of anything else.  My husband is
worried about me and my kids no longer feel loved.
What is a good score?  I got 47,210 just now but the darn thing shut down on
me.  Gave me 5 minutes and then ended the game.  Is there more than one
PURRS PLEASE!! Heavy tornado activity here right now15 Jun 2005 05:31 GMT11
I am going to a neighbor's house who lives partway underground. Please purr
for it to bypass my home.
Thanks.

Beat my score of 38 (so far).  MUCH easier than the "red room"...  but
still, it's addictive!!!
<evil laughter and with bits of hisses and purrs>
Engrish goes to the cats15 Jun 2005 02:09 GMT3
I make a habit, when I have time, of checking the latest offerings from
Engrish.  Today's offering made me giggle out loud and I though y'all
would enjoy it also.  Yes, there is enormous potential for Dave-isms,
but I chose not to :^}
Kitten!!15 Jun 2005 01:34 GMT1

she's getting over it now could it be that kitty's cold is breaking and
its coming out like it is??

Ear Worm Time :) [OT]15 Jun 2005 01:32 GMT2
"My bags are packed, I'm ready to go..."
Okay, I'm not leaving on a jet plane.  I'm going only a few miles down the
road.  But I've got everything packed (except the food I plan to cook).  I
figured it would be best to haul the suitcase to my car today so Persia
OT: found at last!15 Jun 2005 00:44 GMT11
For *years* I've had the earworm of lyrics from an album I heard nearly 30
years ago... kid you not. I was one of those albums a mate had, so I heard
it loads and never got round to buying it. Stupid me. So for all these years
I've had earworm snippits of lyrics, melody and I ...
Drinkwell Fountains Filter Questions15 Jun 2005 00:33 GMT6
I have one for Persia.  She loves it.  I disassemble and clean it faithfully
once a week.  I use the filters.  I checked my calendar; I hadn't cleaned it
since before my trip on June 1st and it's now the 14th!  Then I noticed the
fountain had not got that weird scummy pink residue ...
hot & humid15 Jun 2005 00:04 GMT8
We've been having many hot and humid days here in Ontario.
I wonder whether a cat needs to drink more in such days like a
human should. Rusty  gets his water intake mainly  from prescription
canned food and the water I add to the food.

If you think bubbels is addictive, fasten your eyeballs on sudoku in
your local newspaper or on the site.

Molly14 Jun 2005 22:43 GMT6
Someday this little girl is going to admit she likes me.  I now get
acknowledged when she comes into the house, and can skritch around ears and
tail if I've been very good.  She will headbutt my foot if she is feeling
generous.
Buster in a blanket14 Jun 2005 20:56 GMT9
Buster ended up with the short end of the blanket today, looking like
a cat version of a pig-in-a-blanket (not to mention slightly upset at
having both ends uncovered and photographed - grin). Poor Buster. At
any rate, I got the picture:
