Hobo was MAD at me!30 Jun 2005 17:00 GMT7
Hobo is such a stoic, laid-back old gentleman.  Once in a coon's age
he'd show a fit of temper but rarely since his early semi-feral days.
But even he apparently has his limits.  About ten days ago when I was
about to give him his insulin shot, he suddenly sank a claw into my
Mayhem Update30 Jun 2005 15:32 GMT6
Here are some updates on Mayhem....
Last night Mayhem was meowing up storm.  Normally I ignore her, but
there was a new sound...

Jessie Update30 Jun 2005 13:20 GMT3
LOL.  Well, I think the appetite stimulant, cyproheptadine.  Four weeks ago,
when I got the digital baby scale, Jessie weighed 7.50 lbs.  One of the
reason I rushed her to the vet was that by Wednesday of last week she was
down to 7.15 lbs.  We started giving her the cyproheptadine ...
[OT] Maxine for President30 Jun 2005 13:15 GMT1
Do you know Maxine, the skinny old cartoon lady who is always, um,
"crotchety"?  Here are some of her election platforms.
1. Maxine on "Driver Safety" - "I can't use the cell phone in the car. I
have to keep my hands free for making gestures.".......
How can I stay angry?30 Jun 2005 05:26 GMT3
Mir-mir went through her usual antics during the night -
curtain-climbing, flowerpot-digging, squirrel-wrestling on top of me in
bed - and I didn't get much sleep. But how can I stay angry at her when
I sit down at the computer in the morning and she comes over and
He *knows*30 Jun 2005 05:24 GMT3
My Mum refuses to believe this, but it happens every year. When I start
planning to go to the island, and talk about how to arrange buses and
boat transportation and so on with my Mum on the phone, Frank gets
antsy. He spends hours every day yowling at the door. I take him out on ...
Car key finder  (OT)30 Jun 2005 02:27 GMT7
I saw a little device at the local supermarket that you attach to your car
keys if you've mislaid them, all you do is whistle and it strikes up with a
peeping noise so you can find them.
What a great idea, I thought, and only 97p!!
I scream for Ice Cream!30 Jun 2005 00:25 GMT5
MomDad and Mom are eating Ice Cream and I WANT IT!!
I ooze up onto the table and try to put my face in the bowl.  They
don't like that.
So I sit on their laps and bat their spoons.
OT: A sigh of relief...30 Jun 2005 00:03 GMT5
... is echoing all through Finland. The paper workers came to an
agreement with da boss-men and are finally ending their strike! The
economic ramifications are untold, but for the common man, one thing is
certain. Finally we will have Finnish toilet paper in the shops again!

Dilemma - Snowball wants a kitten friend29 Jun 2005 23:59 GMT6
Snowball's telling me quite clearly that he's missing his rumpus-buddy
Pericles, even though Peri wasn't too happy romping with him, and wants
a new pal.  Bandit does his best to oblige and the two boys are
extremely close, but B spends a lot of his time in the Out and Snowball
I'm with Bob...maybe29 Jun 2005 20:25 GMT68
I did the same thing Bob did.  I got ticked off at some rancorous
posts and, after over seven years with the Group, I quit.  It lasted
about 6 - 8 weeks.  Like Bob, I checked in again a week or so ago,
only to find even more horrendous viciousness going on.  I've read
I went, I saw, I have no clue29 Jun 2005 20:23 GMT17
Okay, I did it.  I went to the ER.  I brought home souveniers!   I have all
these sticker things still stuck on me from where they did an EKG.  That was
*hours* ago.  No one told me the results.  No one told me anything.  The
Tech who did the EKG left and a new shift came on.  I'm ...

3 cats in a one-bedroom apartment - UPDATE AGAIN29 Jun 2005 18:16 GMT1
Well, things are going better over here.  Spot and Orcat(t) mommy
came a-visiting on Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday, and she and her
boyfriend spent significant amounts of time in the bedroom with
the boys.  Orca(t) loved the attention, but Spot very pointedly
