Thanks to everybody...24 Jun 2005 00:07 GMT19
I was completely overwhelmed when I checked Harri out of the vet this
afternoon. I was expecting to have to pay at least a couple hundred
dollars more, so I was stunned when the receptionist told me that my
remaining bill was $10!
Hesitating to ask...23 Jun 2005 23:27 GMT23
I really hate to add more worries to the group right now, but I know that
purrs are a self-renewing resource and I could use some for our little
Jessie.  She hasn't been feeling well for the last 2 or 3 days, not very
active when she's normally pretty hyper.  I'm feeling super ...
Harry update #3: still positive news23 Jun 2005 23:25 GMT23
Just got off the phone with Nancy, who just got off the phone with the
vet. Harri is still breathing easily, and the fluid has not reached a
danger level again yet.
I didn't hear a definitive answer as to the makeup of the fluid that was

I am a week late, but Rusty finally got his purrsday and anniversary
present. It is a brand new litter box.
I took 3 buses to go to Petsmart
after shopping in the last week or so at PetValu, Super Pet, Wal-Mart, and

Update on Hobbes23 Jun 2005 17:49 GMT8
I picked Hobbes up yesterday afternoon and got a chance to speak with
our vet about his case.  You'll remember my initial concern was a cough
that he had as well as runny eyes.  I asked for x-rays so that we can
hopefully rule out asthma before it reaches a critical stage.  The
Weasie (1990-2005) A Lurker's Cat (LONG)23 Jun 2005 17:10 GMT33
I have been a lurker in this group for a few years. I've laughed and
cried through all of your stories.  My beloved cat Weasie
(July 1990- June 2005) went to the Rainbow Bridge this past Saturday,
June 18. This is her story.
Spot purr!23 Jun 2005 16:58 GMT7
Last night was Spotty's turn to sleep in the bedroom. This morning
when I woke she was sleeping next to the pillow. I started gently
petting her, and she started purring loud enough to be heard. This was
a first for her. In the past I could sometimes feel the virbrations of
Purrs for Joycie (long)23 Jun 2005 16:56 GMT16
My oldest friend's Mama is not doing well.
We all thought she had that damnable cancer close to remission. She'd done
so well on radiation; she got energy, appetite, new hair, she was on track
with PT, came home to her sons and beloved dog Benny. Randy and Mike haven't
Success!23 Jun 2005 16:54 GMT6
I decided to try and take Miranda out for walkies today since it's a
glorious warm, sunny day (yes, Victor, it's *warm* at 20 C). At first,
when I set her down on the lawn, she slithered around on her tummy, but
was visibly more interested in her surroundings than scared of them. ...
She's settling in.....23 Jun 2005 16:50 GMT14

Lovely, an "OOPS"23 Jun 2005 16:47 GMT3
*hangs head* I was so busy getting cats and dog lined up to be taken
care of while we're out of town... I forgot about our newest member,
the betta fish. *sighs* Dammit, bad bad fishmom. I'll have to fix that
in the morning. And pray the fishie is ok. This sucks.
10th anniversary23 Jun 2005 16:42 GMT8
10 years ago tomorrow, June 17, I adopted Rusty from the local Humane
Society when he was 1 year old.
Now 10 years later, we are still together. He has various health problems
over the years. I rushed him to the emergency TED several
The little varmint is working her kitty magic........23 Jun 2005 16:40 GMT14
I put up more flyers today, and I put an ad in the paper in search of
Kitty's owner.  I hate to say but it doesn't look good.
Also it doesn't look good for me either, since she is working her way
into my heart....
