Away for awhile25 Jun 2005 20:14 GMT5
We'll be away for 2 weeks of vacation visiting family.  I'll get to go to a
family reunion I haven't been to since we moved to the left side of the US
23 years ago.  It'll be great to see 'em again.
Kitties are being boarded at "Catnip Suites" (run by their vet).  Smokey's
OT: One More Heartbreak [long]25 Jun 2005 18:16 GMT54
I haven't posted about this, because I wanted to respect Richard's
privacy.  But he gave me the go-ahead, and who knows, maybe it will
help someone else here somehow?
Richard has had a breakdown.  Things started getting bad in early
GOW wars update25 Jun 2005 17:59 GMT2
The GOW war between Tanada and myself is proceeding nicely.  A couple of
nights ago, I was awakened at about 2 am from a dream where a massive crowd
was staring at me while I was going to the bathroom.  I jerked myself awake
(I've been known to have that bathroom thing become ...
GOOOOOD NEWS (OT)...25 Jun 2005 16:56 GMT12
Well, the purrs and prayers worked!!
Mom (w/Dad) went to the Oncologist today to discuss Wednesday's MRI done on
her brain.  The lung cancer has NOT spread.  Her unfortunate falls are due
to her being a KLUTZ...  and not a darn thing more!!!
Question for medical professionals - OT25 Jun 2005 16:09 GMT19
Since we have several medical professionals who post here, maybe one of you
can answer my question.
Here's the background:
I recently had an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.  I have had both

of boiling water down your throat and presto. The blockage will be
almost instantly removed.

Thank You! Re: Weasie (1990-2005) A Lurker's Cat (LONG)25 Jun 2005 08:55 GMT2
I just wanted to say a collective thank you to everyone who read and
responded to my post about Weasie.  You truly are a kind and caring
bunch of people. That's why I enjoy "lurking" in this group so much.  I
appreciate all of the purrs, prayers, condolences and lit candles for
Otis did not come home25 Jun 2005 08:54 GMT29
Thank you for your Otis-go-home purrs.  He's not home yet and it's 7:30 AM -
sunrise at 5:22 AM.  If it was Chester, I wouldn't worry so much - he's
savvier than Otis and a little bit more independent.  Otis is just such a
homebody, a fan of his wet food, and hates being even a ...
Going to Jail25 Jun 2005 06:11 GMT6
Mommy and Daddy are acting kind of funny so I asked Jake what was going on.
He says he isn't sure, but that sometimes when they act like this, he ends
up going to jail!  He said it isn't too scary and its warm and has OK beds
and lots of food.  But you hafta live in a little cube ...

Sonya Struts Her Stuff25 Jun 2005 05:04 GMT3
Last night I was curled up in my bed, without my glasses (severely near
sighted) reading  "1632" by Eric Flint.  Suddenly, I heard eep, eep, eep,
eep coming from the enclosure area.  I looked at the entrance and saw Sonya
standing there with something in her mouth.  It was gray, ...
Rusty needs a few purrs too :(25 Jun 2005 04:28 GMT17
I know many cats need major purrs now. But can any spare purrs
go to Rusty? He is not eating this morning which is unusal.
Normally he finishes his breakfast readily.
This morning he just took a few licks. I coaxed him to
OT & Long - Weekend Backpacking and Camping (or Why My Feet are still Aching, I didn't get any Sleep)25 Jun 2005 03:58 GMT5
DH took a 4 day weekend (as per his employment contract with his new
company, he gets 3 weeks vacation a year, and that's just to start, the
longer he's there, the more vacation time he'll get), taking Thursday &
Friday off (Thursday morning I had my annual checkup at my eye ...
Jazz Update, date 125 Jun 2005 03:23 GMT7
Talked at length to the Vet this morning. I like this lady, she is not
Jazz's regular Vet (he is on vacation) and has never met or handled Jazz. I
mentioned the PU (surgery) and she said this is a last resort and he's not
there yet. His regular Vet was kinda pushing this surgery ...
