Fuga28 May 2005 21:50 GMT19
I can't believe it but tomorrow we are going to be celebrating Fuga's 15th
birthday.  I really didn't think he was going to make to 11 nevermind 15.
He's had so many health problems (arthritis, chronic constipation,
pancreatitus, and CRF) over the years but he's still here.

Persephone is a really sweet, gentle cat, but she is a little lacking
in the brains department.  We enjoy watching her solve problems
because we get to see her cognitive processes in action.
Persephone recently discovered that our "new" bed (which we've had for
TRIUMPH! I cleared the Bubbels screen!28 May 2005 20:25 GMT2
For the first time, I've cleared the screen! YAY! :o) My score was 51770.

Finally!
Donna (finally knowing what it looks like to have an empty screen!)
[OT] Irony Impaired Cowards28 May 2005 20:20 GMT1
I just had to post this because I am laughing hysterically and wanted to
share the joke.
It seems that my own personal troll is not only cowardly (sending me the
following email through an anonymous remailer), but she is also seriously
Watching cats at play28 May 2005 19:18 GMT11
Tonight the outside temp got comfortable around 8:00 PM, so I went out
to the back yard to sit and enjoy the quiet. I was immediately joined by
five of the six cats. Amelia prowled the yard looking for mousies or
lizards to hunt, Tabitha and Samuel did some half-hearted chasing, ...
Spot and Cali update28 May 2005 17:03 GMT3
Just a short update about Spot and her kits.
I haven't heard anything about Spot's three boys, but am sure they are
doing fine in their new homes. You probably remember that two of them
went to my vet, and the third to one of his calients. I get updates on
Nikki 1988 - 200528 May 2005 16:51 GMT71
I don't really believe in an afterlife, but if there is one, I hope
Nikki is now young and healthy and breathing freely, hunting voles on an
eternal summer island.
Nikki came to me in October 1988 as a fiesty little girl, who
OT - Friday was a Sad Day28 May 2005 16:33 GMT8
I haven't posted this before, because I wasn't sure exactly *how* to...
But, here goes:
On Friday, at 3:58pm (central time), a 17-year-old girl by the name of
Maggie Danielle Compton met a tragic end in a horrific automobile accident.
[OT] Poetry28 May 2005 16:30 GMT6
Totally OT, I know, but what are your favourite Poems, if you have one?
Mine is "Ode to Autumn" by Keats (posted below). Just curious as to what
yours are and why?
I like this one because its so sensual, so 'juicy', *full*, I can just
Picking up the ashes28 May 2005 16:27 GMT15
It's always hard, because it brings it all back with full force.  Yet
it also helps, because there is something you can hold, and touch, and
smell, even if it is not your baby, alive and breathing and with
spirit.
OT :Purrs and prayers needed TW28 May 2005 16:23 GMT31
Once again I find myself coming out of lurkdom to ask this group for
purrs, prayers and anything else that will help. I read everything
posted on here everyday and send purrs from my 4 out
when needed.
Wednesday is the big day.28 May 2005 16:01 GMT36
I try not to think about it so I don't get anxious, but that also means I
can't concentrate on anything else either.  I have no patience.  Never did.
Never will.  But someone up there keeps trying to teach me.
Anyways, all good thoughts, wishes and prayers and purrs  will be ...

Bats?28 May 2005 09:03 GMT16
Our dearly beloved cats do bring in their fair share of prey on occasions.
It is only natural. Has anyone had bats brought in though?
We had a couple when we first got cat many years ago. In the dead of the
night cat made a terrible noise to wake us to find a live bat in our home!
Old cat New trick28 May 2005 07:04 GMT12
Tony and I have always had our sleeping routine.  When I lie on my right
side, he lies next to the pillow and my left arm reaches up to cuddle
him and rub his belly.  When I lie on my left side, he would sometimes
lean up into my back.  Well, at 11 years old, we have come up with ...
