| Mithu relaxes hard | 02 May 2005 04:25 GMT | 8 |
The other day I pulled out the sofa seat cushions to make a fort for DD. Mithu was sleeping on the back cushion when I pulled the seat cushion out from under it. He didn't even move as his cushion collapsed: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/cjs_cats2/detail?.dir=3537&.dnm=de18.jpg& ...

| Yet More Purrs Requested | 02 May 2005 04:17 GMT | 32 |
Dad had surgery for blockages in the arteries in both his legs last year. One didn't quite "take" and they went in again. Apparently it still isn't right; he's not getting enough blood flow down the leg. So on Monday morning, May 1, they are going to insert a balloon to open up ...

| Indiana Feral Park Cats: Final Update (I hope) | 02 May 2005 04:15 GMT | 2 |
Apologies for taking so long to post this (hopefully) final update on the feral park cats in Richmond, Indiana. Ironically, it was politics that solved the problem. A new mayor was elected, and she even (while campaigning) went out with the caretakers

| Cosmo and Sabra | 02 May 2005 01:37 GMT | 12 |
I know I have been brief in posting lately, but I am truly thinking of all of you in need and sending purrs. Life has just hit me so hard, and I am taking some time to deal with it. I took Cosmo to another vet last week. I just don't know what to

| Ahhhh. The Power of Birds! | 02 May 2005 01:32 GMT | 4 |
A fine spring day with a stiff breeze sets the birds to squabbling noisily and interestingly. Which leads to a truce between Sugar and Pearl. We may never see them sit this close again. (see 2 pictures) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/kchuplis/detail?.dir=6f7c&.dnm=9e6d.jpg&.src=p

| The word gets out | 02 May 2005 00:05 GMT | 6 |
I've posted a few times about my brother and his relationship to cats. About how Samantha crossed the Bridge and left Pat and his dog so devastated, about the strays that keep shoping up in his yard because they know he's good for regular feeding and a warm place to sleep, about

| Kitten Training | 01 May 2005 23:59 GMT | 8 |
Sonya is such a good meowmie. She's training the kittens to use the litter box and eat kitten food. They seem to really take to her lesson plans and are having a ball. I should feel sorry for Mandy, but I don't. She walks in and is mobbed

| Tap-Tap (again) | 01 May 2005 23:51 GMT | 5 |
Tap-tap with the paw. Mom, I'm hungry. (Mom rolls over... "It's not time yet, Persia.") But I'm hungry! "It's not time yet!" Mom rolls over. Persia snuggles, snuffles, purrs. Tap tap. "NO Persia, it's not time yet!" Persia curls up and purrs while mommy strokes her fur and ...

| The Timer-Enabled Roadcat | 01 May 2005 22:50 GMT | 12 |
The last few days have been intersting. We ended up spending up two days in LaPine, OR. The territory there is so beautiful that we had to take two kitten walks a day, one in the wee hours of the morning and one at night. Harri absolutely loved that!

| Cute little kitty snores | 01 May 2005 21:09 GMT | 2 |
Persia is curled up on the pillow next to my desk with her paw draped over her nose. This invariably leads to soft little snores and this time is no exception. She's completely out! If I were to reach down and pat her right now she'd squeak.

| The Las Vegas Roadcat - not! | 01 May 2005 20:52 GMT | 13 |
Tonight was Harri's first time taking a walk in Las Vegas. North Las Vegas, actually, at the Pilot truck stop. The street we're on gets pretty quiet at night, but nearly quiet enough to suit Harri. Our walk tonight lasted only 15 minutes, and we only got about 100 yards

| I'm BACK! (Sorta OT) | 01 May 2005 17:23 GMT | 21 |
Got back from the trip to Huntsville with my LLL, John, a couple of hours ago. He's back on the road again. The art show was a total bust. Not sure what happened but it just didn't get anywhere near the crowds we are used to. Victor mentioned the weather

| PING Marina | 01 May 2005 15:48 GMT | 17 |
Few days ago I found a pound, round cheese wheel @ local supermarket for less than $5! Today I broke into it and noticed "Finlandia" with logo....checking side panel I saw it was imported to a NJ, USA city. Just now went to

| PING Hopitus | 01 May 2005 14:48 GMT | 7 |
How'd you like our most recent snow storm? Our flowerbeds had already sprouted beautiful pink tulips ... I don't think there will be much left of them when I get home tonight =/

| difficult decisions | 01 May 2005 12:12 GMT | 15 |
Well Sesame went back on Tuesday for a checkup and things seemed to be going OK with her eye if not perfectly. The last month has been discussions with the vet about hoping things heal naturally but with another option of surgery if things just dont happen. Her kidneys pose the ...
