Alternative medicine.  Giving homeopathy a chance03 May 2005 11:38 GMT19
I have told you all before about my German friend Nüle.  I met her on a
poultry newsgroup and she came over to help when my mother died suddenly in
2003.  We have mailed each other nearly every day since late 2002 and she
has been here 3 times, and I've been over to Germany once. ...

We caught rats!03 May 2005 00:57 GMT13
I was just outside the back door today and I saw Boyfriend catch something
from near the shed.  He is still not an accomplished killer and he threw it
around a bit before he finally got the hang of the killing bite and took it
away down the garden to eat it.
The Gang of Four on their own03 May 2005 00:05 GMT1
This weekend is the first that I haven't had a special needs cat to be
looked after.  A friend drove here from VA and we took my 37yo Olds to a
vintage car rally in Binghamton NY.  The cats got wet food at 4 PM and
the pantry door left open for them to raid the Purina cat chow bag ...
Cats in the garden03 May 2005 00:02 GMT16
We've had a lovely sunny day here at Chateau Simmons. Indeed it's been
warmer outside than in the house. So I opened the dining room doors to the
garden and three cats have spent the afternoon suning themselves on the
grass, chasing mousies and frogs on the banks of the stream ...

Dear Group
I was admitted to hospital last Friday morning and have returned home

Tonight was a busy night for Harri!
As I mentioned before, this is a slow weekend for us. Ran in from
Fernley, NV Saturday, arrived in Las Vegas at 2 PM, can't deliver until
Monday at 5 PM. Spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning at the

This was in my freecycle emails.  I think it is one of the funniest ones
I've ever seen.

Veggie recipies (and a troll)02 May 2005 20:49 GMT20
OK, I need some veggie BBQ recipies as I have a veggie friend coming to
a meat-eaters BBQ next weekend and I want her to feel "included". Her
other 1/2 is a Canadian and it'll be the first time he gets to do the
whole "British-BBQ-in-the-rain" thing. ;o)
Making the bed... the hard way!!02 May 2005 20:28 GMT7
What should be a relatively easy task becomes a long, drawn out process when
3 out of 4 cats want to help.
1.   Take cats off bed.
2.   Tell them you're sorry in a nice, loving tone of voice!!  (Very

OT Treasury Duck Update02 May 2005 15:12 GMT13
The female mallard that is nesting outside the US treasury building,
has hatched her eggs.  she has 11 (!) fluffy babies, and they were
safely transported, with much pomp and ceremony, to nearby Rock Creek
