Wonder of wonders, I've actually caught up and have no unread
messages. Actually, that's not totally true, but I WAS caught up when
I logged off last night, and I haven't downloaded yet today.
As far as the kitties go, everyone seems to be doing fine. I guess

Back home04 May 2005 03:24 GMT3
I'm back home, but it will take me a little time to get back into the swing
of things.  A 17-hour time difference takes some adjustment.  ;-)
I thoroughly enjoyed my (third) trip to Australia, and especially the meet
with Yowie (and Cary) and Jean at Tish's house.  Tish is a ...
Where I am now04 May 2005 02:26 GMT13

hospital immediately.  Like me.
Who lives alone, and has cats and poultry and any other livestock and hasn't

I meant to post this last week but got so busy I forgot.
I have a device calleda Prepass transponder in the truck. At most weigh
stations you'll see a pole-mounted radio transceiver about 1/2 mile
before the scale, then another about 1/4 mile from the scale. The first

Abelard going to TED04 May 2005 00:41 GMT28
Saturday afternoon he was coughing and acting a little strange, a visitor
noticed he was lurching as he walked. I didn't see it right away but I've
been seeing it since then, he sometimes sways like he's about to fall over
but then catches himself.

It's just pitiful when she sleeps in a bed two sizes to small, but the poor

Silver update03 May 2005 23:09 GMT3
She seems to be doing better... she barfed quite a bit last night but
that was probably because her tummy was so empty. This morning she had
some water and barfed it up... but when she got some food into her she
was fine. I tried her on kibble and she wasn't interested so I gave
Maui the Siamese...03 May 2005 22:50 GMT12
It's incredible what my two Siamese cats can do with their paws.  I dropped
a penny out of my wallet onto the hardwood floor this afternoon.  Maui
walked over to it, and PICKED IT UP by using his two paws simultaneously.  I
quickly grabbed him before he put it into his mouth.  Gawd, ...

Tonight we're trying to get home so I can interview for another
programming job. It's been a huge pain trying to get back - I've been
working on making this happen since Thursday. But it finally got set up,
and I was to do a repower at the Nevada Landing Casino in Jean, NV.
Computer Felinification03 May 2005 16:35 GMT1
Is it common for people on this here newsgroup to beautify their computer
desktops with cats and things cat-like? It occured to me that it was
especially having read about a cat cursor in one of the threads.
I don't have a modern windows OS but you used to be able to change certain

A wealthy old lady decides to go on a photo safari in Africa,
taking her faithful aged poodle named Cuddles, along for the
company.
Abelard's getting stronger03 May 2005 14:12 GMT8
After a week of faithful administration of the noxious cephalexin
suspension, Abelard is looking and feeling much better. The inflammation in
his upper right gums is way less, and he's walking straighter and has more
pep and less fever. I don't have to force him anymore, he follows ...
Rules for Care and Feeding of Stray Cats03 May 2005 12:43 GMT2
Somewhere I saw a joke list of rules for the care and feeding of stray
cats. As it progressed, it got laxer and laxer, eg:
Stray cats will absolutely not be allowed in the house under any
