| Caring for my chickens whilst I'm away (OT) | 14 May 2005 05:24 GMT | 23 |
I have prepared my friend Stephen that he needs to look after a few of my chickens and the geese. He told me to take my Lakenfelder cock with his 3 hens today. He wasn't ready with the cleaning out, and even had a broody hen sitting in there :-(

| back from Indiana | 14 May 2005 00:08 GMT | 2 |
I got back home Wednesday night after a trip to Indiana. We drove straight through going out but stopped to sleep over on the way home. We had to get my mother in laws house ready for sale. She is in a nursing home now. I did get to meet my brother in law and his wife. They drove ...

| Mystery mouse | 13 May 2005 23:13 GMT | 4 |
I found an apparently unmarked mouse, dead on the kitchen floor. I thought I had seen one running by last week. Now, the mystery is: Is one of the staff an efficient and neat assassin who prefers

| Sassy Passed last night | 13 May 2005 20:44 GMT | 42 |
My Sassy passed last night. She went to bed as usual last night with my oldest daughter, she passed sometime during the night. She showed no signs of being sick at all, maybe it was just her time to go. I feel as though my heart has been ripped apart and stomped on. My daughters are

| Oh My! | 13 May 2005 19:07 GMT | 52 |
It seems we have a house guest. This little fellow followed my husband home. We gave him some food on the deck, like we do for all the strays, but he stayed by the back door and cried and cried. Then it started pouring buckets here and he was huddled under the spa canopy but when ...

| Unemployment is an Epidemic! | 13 May 2005 18:39 GMT | 86 |
Just got off the phone with a friend and former co-worker who told me *another* mutual friend and co-worker's employment was abruptly terminated yesterday. I've known this woman for 8 years. She started with the company as a temp

After a week+ in Ontario I am back at last. Sending purrs to all thsoe who need some while I was gone. I survived the week without a fight, mostly because my mom was working every day but one and spent that day doing taxes, so we didn't have to

| Asthma video | 13 May 2005 17:57 GMT | 15 |
If anyone is interested, there is a very good video that has just been posted of Fritz "The Brave" having an asthma attack. I didn't know the symptoms of asthma when Sam first presented. After about 1 1/2 weeks of his coughing I took him to the vet and my description was "that ...

| The Gang of Three (Max, Beastie, Franz) | 13 May 2005 16:57 GMT | 4 |
On my bikeride this morning I thought about Beast and then about the other two. They were together a remarkably long time, considering they were all refugees, from 1991 to 2000.

| Could this be love? | 13 May 2005 16:45 GMT | 6 |
Sometimes I wonder about the relationship between Hobbes, Sam and Lacey. About a year after kitten Hobbes wandered up on our back patio I saw Sam for the first time and he looked about the same age as Hobbes. I sometimes wonder if they could be litter mates. Then there is Lacey ...

| Orlie CANNOT possibly be comfortable | 13 May 2005 15:20 GMT | 1 |
The big ginger guy's crammed himself onto my lap, facing the computer screen, with his head forced back so that his chin's on the keyboard's wrist-rest. He's purring his little head off.

| Brave Stinky | 13 May 2005 14:50 GMT | 15 |
In his day, Stinky had the usual hoolikitten falling-into-the-bathtub experience, and my my, he did not like it. SO I find it touching that despite his revulsion, he still bravely sits on the side of the tub when I'm taking a nice bath. He sits and looks at me with an

| Sabra Update | 13 May 2005 12:19 GMT | 22 |
It isn't good news. Took Sabra to the vet yesterday. He was dehydrated and got fluids. He has cataracts and other eye problems. She thought she felt a small mass in his stomach area, and he is constipated. He is down to 7.5
