New pics:  tree climbing and gardening31 May 2005 01:09 GMT48
I was out in the backyard trying to plant when the cats, particuarly
Chester, started being crazy.  They were running around chasing each other
and then Chester climbed the chainlink fence and finally, the huge
ornamental crabapple, currently in blossom.  He had a big fall from ...
Another "We Met"!31 May 2005 00:37 GMT31
I had *SO* much fun tonight - I haven't laughed that hard in ages - and I
talked so much my throat hurts.  Victor and Tom are as sweet and nice and
caring in person as they are in cyber space (we already knew Bonbon and
Michael were from the last time we met).
Sheesh. Some people. GAH!30 May 2005 23:48 GMT16
The kittens have all had horrendous flu for the last week. Fortunately,
all your purrs worked and they are all on the mend and feeling much
better. :o)
However, the potential adoptive mommy of Flanagan and Lola rang me
Baby Bea gets her exercise30 May 2005 20:49 GMT4
Such a fearless little thing! She'll wrestle with anyone who will take her
on. Billy, at about 12X her size, has been extremely considerate, but her
favorite is Abelard, who is only about 4X bigger. Each night they romp &
wrestle for hours. It's great entertainment! Good for Abelard ...
Lovely Day for the Kitty Walk Enclosure!30 May 2005 18:32 GMT10
With pardons to Catnipped, it's 71F here, light breeze and not at all humid.
Persia insisted it's a "patio day" for her (at least for the time being).
She's meatloafing in her Kitty Walk enclosure, chattering at the birds and
squirrels, sniffing the air, looking very relaxed.
OT: The Friendly Creditor30 May 2005 18:31 GMT18
Just got a phone call from a creditor asking if I could pay them $X today.
Nope, if you check my account records I've been paying $x and am unemployed.
She chatted with me for a few minutes and then said, "Ramen noodles start
tasting real good about this point!"  Yeah, especially ...

     Finnish loo roll crisis
A strike in the paper industry in Finland has left the country
desperately short of toilet paper.
Shops have been selling out of loo roll up and down the country and

Hey everyone,
Just to let you know what is going on with Tinta and Elvis, the two

 At Sea
It was with great grief that we learned of the passing to the Rainbow
bridge of one of our own last week. Nikki, our Finnish huntress and
water hunting technique teacher, is much missed by all of us as seen in

Less biting from Buffy30 May 2005 15:59 GMT7
I have discovered that simple hissing when Buffy the kitty bites to
hard is having an amazing success. Now Buffy doesn't clamp down as hard
-nearly- as oftern. Nibbles and licks instead of 'I like human flesh
bleagh!'.
How silly of me.....30 May 2005 13:59 GMT4

OT: Recipe request30 May 2005 13:40 GMT13
When I was a youngster I always looked forward to my grandmother's Scottish
friends visiting, because they made a great dish with potatoes and sausages.
I believe they called it "stovers", but I've never been able to find a
recipe. Does this combination ring any bells with ...

A common interest30 May 2005 04:19 GMT17
Frank and Mere haven't been getting along very well, but today they
discovered a common interest: they both love tinned maize.
