It looks like Mere is larger than Nikki, but she's not even close to the
same size. The bulk (and I mean *bulk*) of Nikki is behind the cat tree,
and Mere is sideways, so that creates the illusion.
Thunder Again?!18 May 2005 17:15 GMT5
Yesterday it was 90F at 7:00 PM.  Today it got up to 85F but in the time it
took me to run to the store and back (about 20 minutes) at 2:30 PM the temp
dropped 10 degrees and the clouds were rolling in.  Thunder was starting.
When I got home Persia was behind my stereo here in my ...

I'm looking into this site, and it looks pretty good.  I added one
person, my husband, and a job search turned up several hundred hits
... okay, nationwide, but still quite a few here in town.
Anyway, if anyone wants an invite, I'll send you one, and then you'll

...I've just been incredibly busy.
Not only has my boss refused to give me a raise (EVER!!!) but he's had the
nerve to add tons of new duties to my job (I am now his "personal"
assistant, doing things like taking care of paying his traffic tickets,
I think (know) we need a bigger litterbox!18 May 2005 11:33 GMT5
Scout doesn't seem to realise how big she's gotten... we have two
small litterboxes side by side, and I've seen Scout climb into one and
squat, with her bottom hanging over so that the poopies go into the
other box. Then she looks a little puzzled and scratches both of
Names and cats18 May 2005 10:01 GMT3
We know that hoomins have lots of names for cats, but do cats have names for
hoomins? Can they communicate them with each other. Any opinions? I heard
cats call hoomins "twopaws" aswell.

Tweed has had her op18 May 2005 04:29 GMT12
I just got a brief email from Christine's cousin, as follows:
"Tina has had her op and is back on the ward. They describe her as
comfortable, which I think is a standard phrase. They will never talk
about a patient on the phone but I will be visiting her this evening and

Note to self: it's not a good idea to lounge around in your underpants
when you share the house with 7 fully clawed cats.

I've got Bitties!17 May 2005 23:22 GMT13
Yup, I'm fostering 3 of them. Three little black and white 6 week old
tuxedos. :o)
A sister and 2 brothers, they were dumped in a box in the Taff, a very
large river running through Cardiff.
OT: Job hunters - where do you live?17 May 2005 22:00 GMT15
With all the computer people looking for work, if you are willing to
post the area of the country and what type of jobs you are looking for,
I (and I'm sure others) can keep my eyes open. I'm also in the computer
field, and sometimes I see job postings or hear of openings.
Team kitten walking (a bit long)17 May 2005 21:59 GMT7
It has now been one full week since I arrived back at home, and almost
two weeks since I had Harri in the truck with me. Harri has been quite
happy to be a house kitty, but I decided it was time to go on another
kitten dark walk.  Since Ranger didn't mind doing a leash walk with

Whether it was because all my chickens that were to be temporarily relocated
had all gone, for some stupid reason I forgot that the geese weren't going
until this morning and did not lock them up at dusk last night like I always
do.
Kong zoom groom (thx Enfilade)17 May 2005 20:38 GMT7
Well, it's hairball season in Colorado.
Apparently the factory that produces Wellness Turkey-related foods was
shut down temporarily, and so the local distributor is out of the
stuff.  Consequently, the 5.5oz cans are nowhere to be found.  I've
