Purrs for Basho19 May 2005 21:01 GMT36
Basho has been barfing a lot lately, so last night I decided to put him
on the scale (he seems skinny). 7 pounds. That seemed too little for
me, but Tom thought it was normal. So I called the vet's office and
left a message. They called me back this morning and said his last

I've been reading Tad Williams' Otherland series recently.  I read the
first two books several years ago, but I lost interest.  This time, I
made sure I had all four on tap so that I could blast through them.
You really have to pay attention to these books, which feature an

I rescheduled the one from last week for my SSDI claim because honestly I
woke up and couldn't deal with making the 35 mile drive through major
traffic.
Today I told myself, yes, you *will* do this.  I called for directions and
Need help with Yahoo photo album pics19 May 2005 18:36 GMT12
Lots of you folks publish kitty pics on Yahoo photo albums, and I always
have a problem viewing them. I have to click away an error message from
IE(6) every time. It says: "Your current settings prohibit running ActiveX
controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display ...

OT - Frazzled!19 May 2005 14:33 GMT26
OMG, I'm just wiped out.  Things have been crazy here for the past
month and I feel like my life is getting out of hand.  Haven't been
around much due to extreme tour guide duties.
On April 10, a girlfriend of mine arrived in town for 3 weeks.  Her

Childminder has a nephew about 18 months old.  He was born with a weak
heart.  Last night he had a double heart attack.  He is in Guy's
Hospital and is very, very poorly.
PLEASE send your purrs.
UGH! Kids!!!19 May 2005 12:00 GMT13
The Miles bitties are kept in a large dog pen in my sitting room so that
my adult cats can have their normal routine and Bonnie, my d*g doesn't
keep pestering them.
This morning, the bitties were allowed out to play. At 5 weeks old, they

Hidden treasure19 May 2005 05:54 GMT5
I've been missing a couple of small items for a few days.  Nanki-Poo likes
to bat all sorts of things around, so I figured he had probably batted them
under some piece of furniture.  It's almost impossible for me to get down on
the floor, so I haven't checked under things for quite ...
Getting to know baby Beatrice19 May 2005 04:22 GMT17
When IBK Beatrice wants milk, she climbs up the front of my shirt, perches
on top of a boob, looks straight into my eyes and squeaks with a big open
mouth, then nuzzles into my hair. I let her stay there while I warm up her
bottle, then she'll spend about ten minutes drinking a ...
Ranger kitten progress19 May 2005 04:19 GMT54
Though the last week has been rather stressful, it has also been
refreshing. Through the doctor visits and car crash and insurance
battles, I've been able to come home and spend time with Nancy and the
kitties.
Didn't work. :o(19 May 2005 03:51 GMT17
The guy from the environment agency rang me back. :o(
The job went to an internal candidate, which I suspected might happen.

Oh well, a good learning experience, the guy went through my interview
Protest squeak19 May 2005 00:09 GMT13
The posts about cats chattering made me wonder if anyone else has
heard their cats make protest squeaks.
Betty can make a really high-pitched "mreeeek" type squeak.  It's a
bit hard to describe, but it sounds like a cross between a lady
Ranger is learning!18 May 2005 22:46 GMT2
Having 6 kitties in the house now makes for some interesting times. The
older girls (Cleo and Amelia) are convinced that we have at least 2,
maybe 4, too many cats in the house. Sammy and Tabitha both like to play
with Harri, and Sammy is pretty good about playing with Ranger, ...
