Kenzie's new......20 May 2005 12:13 GMT4
I like to bring home abandoned and thrown away things from work. I'm a
terrible packrat. Most of the things I bring home are things like
cardboard cartons I use for storage, bits or complete pieces of
equipment I like to tinker with, (I'm very god at repairing small
Is there a way to tell how old a cat is?20 May 2005 12:08 GMT8
We have two great cats, both originally strays, so we have no idea how
old they are. We asked our vet when we had them *fixed* etc. and she
says it is rather difficult to tell... does anybody have any bright
ideas that would help us get at least a rough idea?
Sort of job purrs20 May 2005 12:06 GMT15
For the last several years, after the tech crash and losing [1] a really
satisfying job in the corporate research center of Nortel Networks, I've
been hanging in from contract to contract, some literally micromanaged
at the level of hours. I've also run into the proverbial shaft ...
Book offer?20 May 2005 10:22 GMT10
Flippy forwarded me an email from a Janet Hayward on Sunday, who was asking
Flippy for permission to use one of my stories in a book of hers.
Flippy of course said it wasn't up to her, and Janet needed the author's
permission, ie, *mine*.
Did my catnip post show up last night?20 May 2005 03:06 GMT4
Just wondering because it hasn't had any replies...
Here's my favourite photo of the bunch - Scouty lying on the desk and
lazily reaching out for the camera strap.

A visit to TED's20 May 2005 01:24 GMT3
First off, no cause for concern. =o) This was routine checkup stuff. I took
Pan in to have his blood sample taken as his medication needs to be
monitored, and took Francesca in for a check up and her yearly  FELv (or
whatever the heck it is) innoculation. Nina stayed home and held ...
Thank you19 May 2005 21:24 GMT1
I want to thank all of you here who posted messages, sent prayers,
purrs and good thoughts, lit candles, and/or helped out with Sabra's
medical bills.  All of it means a great deal to me, and I love you all
for your caring and compassion.

John needs purrs please19 May 2005 21:12 GMT22
His job's gone again. And once again it was less than a week after his
so-called employers assured him that everything was well. They're all
a bunch of !@#%$^&*(&^Y%$#$%^*(*&^%^*()_O*&^%$%^*(*&^%# scumsucking
bottomdwelling SOBs. I just went to the doctor yesterday and I'm
We are going to get a new kitty19 May 2005 21:06 GMT21
I have been missing my Sassy so much lately that my husband took me to
the shelter last night to look for another kitty. My life feels empty
without a furbaby. That have nearly 30 kittys, both bitties and
adults,looking for homes.
OK - It's official...19 May 2005 21:04 GMT13
It's official! I am very firmly wrapped around a little itty bitty paw.
;o)
An adoptive mommy came to look at the kittens to book them tonight. They
did the whole "cute widdle kitten" thing, and I persuaded the adoptive
Today's bittie report19 May 2005 21:03 GMT3
The bitties are growing like... well only kittens can. They're getting
more independant all the time. When they first moved in they stuck
together all the time, when I found one I'd find a pile of kittens
since they were always together. Also, when momma Spot called them,
New Toys19 May 2005 21:03 GMT8
Decided to splurge a little bit on cat toys  (Amazing how you can be
broke, but are willing to spend money on toys for the kitties)
First is a mousie that hangs from the door frame from an elastic cord.
Mischief took to it immediately and spent lots of time batting it
OT: Purrs for Kylie19 May 2005 21:02 GMT8
I'm not a particular fan of Kylie Minogue, but I was very sorry to hear
the news, she has breast cancer. On the day of Christina's surgery it
made me think how unfair this disease is.
