It Appears....26 Apr 2005 11:17 GMT56
That Li'l Bit's only pregnancy has produced 5 babies (yes, I said 5).
Three white (ish), and two dark.  She has decided that they must be
under the "feeding table" (a converted end table), so I haven't been
able to see the 4th and 5th babies very well.
The Highland kitties plus one26 Apr 2005 03:51 GMT8
It seems the ranks of the Highland furkids have again swollen.
Nancy went out to buy kitty kibble this afternoon. I don't have all the
details yet, but she happened upon some folks with a tiny kitten that
*had* be rehomed immediately. So Nancy rehomed it!
Sandy Update26 Apr 2005 03:42 GMT2
Thank you all kindly for helping Sandy with your purrs and good
wishes.  I had to go out yesterday afternoon and when I returned, she
seemed to be better.  The vet found she had a fever, was dehydrated,
and is anemic.  Antibiotic for the fever; IV to hydrate her; anemia,
Smokey the Tart!26 Apr 2005 01:58 GMT1
Smokey jumped up in my lap last night to tell me it was bed time. She must
have just come out of the box, as she had some litter stuck to her butt fur.
I was not sure how she would react, but I started to pull off the few grains
of litter stuck to her fur. To my surprise, she ...
Waaah, my car's wrecked :-(25 Apr 2005 23:46 GMT25
It's 1:30 am here and I'm seriously bummed.  Can't even consider going
to bed after what's happened.
Took some friends to see a show, Thai dancing, etc...  Stopped at a
bar close to home for some beers afterwards.  Walked out to see my
Wool/Cloth SuckersLONG25 Apr 2005 23:43 GMT12
In his middle years, Rowdy has revealed himself to be a
latent and now overt woolsucker! In s.FL we never had
much wool out at all, even in winter, so his hidden vice remained unknown to
me *until* we moved here to MileHigh and it got cold. Being unpleasantly
Purrs for Sandy25 Apr 2005 23:40 GMT19
Could we have a few purrs for our Sandy dog?  This is the third day
she has been vomiting all she eats.  She's not feeling well at all.
My son has taken her to the vet.  That was over two hours ago and no
word.  I'm getting really nervous and on tenterhooks.  Please help????

Rude awakening25 Apr 2005 19:13 GMT10
Weird things seem to happen when I am half awake. The other night, (about 2
am) I stumbled into the bathroom to take care of some business. I heard a
slight 'thump' but didn't pay any attention to it - I just figured it was
one of my cats coming to 'help' me. I started to sit down, ...

BUSY day25 Apr 2005 15:35 GMT4
Stinky is really full of pepper today. He began it by clawing the
carpet on the stairs, which he hardly ever does.  He's had several
greebling hunts already, hurked a hairball on my quilt, and made a
daring, five-foot leap from the kitchen counter to the dining room
Stosh thinks I'm a cat!25 Apr 2005 15:24 GMT3
I've heard that there are some cats that get a sort of  imprint on their
kitty-psyches and have a strong identification with their pet two-legs.
Louie has decided that Stosh thinks I'm a cat.
Case in point: Stosh likes to follow the ladies around around and swat the
Tyche likes a man in uniform.25 Apr 2005 14:20 GMT16
Tyche is infamous for being hateful to everyone save me, DP, and her
Uncle Phalanx.  Family, inlaws, neighbours, friends, all get greeted
by growls, hisses and kitty-threats.  When we have company, Smokey's a
lovebug, Kumani's interested but shy, Nocturne is bored with the whole
Sherry's New Cat, Part XXXVII25 Apr 2005 13:40 GMT25
I saw a cat this a.m. in the median of a busy highway. I was heading to
an appointment and really didn't have time to chase it down but did
anyway. It's a tricky thing, esp. since I can't run and I am always
afraid I'll spook the cat and make it run into traffic.
Nursing duties attended to25 Apr 2005 13:23 GMT15
The last couple of days I've had a stonker of a migraine. Thankfully a rare
event these days. Waffles has duly done her nursing duties most excellently.
Both yesterday and today I have been brought my medicine - a freshly caught
mousie each day. One has to keep one's strength up ...
