"Ahoy, bring those boxes below!"  called Smokey, the Bos'n.  "And be
careful, those are quality supplies."
"Ooof!" said Mere as she put her shoulder into pushing a rather large
box that was twice her size.

for a recheck of her tests. (You may remember that during her checkup
for her heart condition earlier this month she got a complete blood &
urinalysis panel done - her glucose was 198.9mg/dl - normal is
76.0-145.0mg/dl.) Her vet felt it best to keep her overnight before

"I see that there aren't too many British crew members, which seems a
shame as we're such a great seafaring nation. I get along with all my
Soothing purrs27 Apr 2005 14:05 GMT6
Did a 60-mile pootle round various bits of Norfolk today on my bicycle.
Great apart from the headwind for the last couple of hours.
Got home, had bath, flung on an aged track suit I have not been able to get
into for years and vegged-out on the sofa. I was joined by a certain
New friends (and catching up after a long time away)27 Apr 2005 13:34 GMT8
Hey all... I've been away for a few years, don't know if anyone remembers
me or not.  I think I was last here about the same time Bev's Ollie went
missing.  At that point in time I had seven cats, including Kitty, the
new one whose arrival I talked about here:
It's medication time!27 Apr 2005 13:28 GMT13
I read the package insert on the Cephalexin and it says for each 10kg of
body weight you can give up to 250mg every six hours or 500mg every 12
hours.
The vet prescribed 500mg twice a day, which is more than double the
Thanks for the job purrs! They worked!27 Apr 2005 12:45 GMT14
HAPPY DANCE! After four years of working as a temp, I FINALLY got a
full-time job offer! It's a Patient Services Representative for a clinic
that's part of one of the local teaching hospital/universities. It's going
to be hectic. but that's fine. I don't mind hectic. And I've ...
The old (or is it new) soft shoe - baby kit style27 Apr 2005 07:46 GMT4
I was sitting on the floor watching my 3 week old kits trying to play.
There must have been some greebling hatchling around, because they would
toddle along and suddenly start patting the floor, shuffling their feet
along like a tap dancer. The greeblitzens must have jumped up and ...
Paw Is Totally Unfair27 Apr 2005 07:40 GMT4
This is Sgt. Huey here.  I have a serious complaint to make about my
paw.  Tonight I gave him an honor and let him smell my feet.  Was Paw
thrilled?  Did he sniff my feet?  NO!  He just shoved them off of his
face and told me to let him read.  PAW IS UNFAIR!!!  He finally rubbed

Crazy cat person, here26 Apr 2005 22:09 GMT14
OK, I know there are many ways to be a crazy cat person.  Although I
only have one, I think everything he does is cute.  I think it's cute
when he goes to the litter box.  I think THAT is cute.  <sigh>

Multiple Cat Household Question26 Apr 2005 17:52 GMT15
I read somewhere that in a multiple cat household not only does each cat
have their own "territory", but that the territory may change throughout the
day.  I've noticed that in the mornings Jessie sleeps on the cat tree in the
cats' bedroom window, but that's where Demi sleeps in ...
Litter box Question26 Apr 2005 14:12 GMT7
I am asking this for my neighbor who just recently got 2 cats. I have
no clue what to tell her. She got a 6 year old named Tulula from the
shelter 3 weeks ago and a 4 month old named Angel from the shelter last
week. When she brought Angel home all went well except for now Tulula
