[OT] The Yowlet turns 1!07 Apr 2005 17:02 GMT33
I still can't believe a year has passed since my beautiful baby boy was
born!
My family had a small party for Cary, and my sister was kind enough to take
the photos after my camera's batteries conveniently died as we got there.
OT: 8th anniversary07 Apr 2005 16:55 GMT35
Today is the 8th anniversary of our first date. :) We're going out to
dinner to the same restaurant we went to 8 years ago. The kitties will
get tuna for dinner to share in our celebration.
A Cat-to-Hooman Dictionary?07 Apr 2005 15:28 GMT9
I know what a lot of Persia's meows mean.  I know what some of the little
mrrps and chirps mean.  I know if I'm rubbing her forehead and she tilts her
head back for a bridge-of-the nose rub her meow means "Oh, yeah!"
When she's waiting for me to dish up her weekly dose of gooshy ...
Ah.... spring has arrived!07 Apr 2005 14:49 GMT8
Here in the USA all the cats are starting to shed. I'm finding vomited
furballs all over the house. Some I only find after they've dried out.
What fun!
(OT) My Friend Phil07 Apr 2005 14:46 GMT10
I went to the memorial service yesterday.  It was a beautiful UU
service, with many of his friends getting up to speak about what he
meant to them.  There were heart-wrenching stories, and laughter both.
The hard part for me was finding out what I had suspected, but did not
Ahhh, Spring!07 Apr 2005 12:46 GMT7
You know it's finally really spring when you look out your back
window, and you see a big long-haired tortie happily snoozing in your
crocus bed. ;)

Bandit Now07 Apr 2005 10:14 GMT52
Here are some pictures of Bandit's wounds as of this morning.  I am just
continually amazed at the recuperative powers of our feline friends.
If you click on each of these pictures you can see the full-sized picture
directly from the camera.  I did this for two reasons - first you ...
Even more Vet Tech Journals.....07 Apr 2005 08:52 GMT8
Argh, seems like I've been running at full speed the last few days.
And I hate Sundays.  Sundays are Vaccine clinic days, so we have all
the walk ins and regular appts.  Most of the walk ins were dogs needing
vaccines.
I was taught my lesson on missing cats07 Apr 2005 08:22 GMT8
Earlier today, a deliveryman didn't quite close the front door, and I
only noticed it about an hour later. As I approached it, there was a
gray streak that ran up the stairs.  Ding is generally a gray streak,
but Rhonda was the only cat at the top of the stairs.
apology -- way too busy07 Apr 2005 08:15 GMT17
I'm not reading or posting much right now.  Two reasons, one good and one bad.
First, the good -- I'm logging lots of hours at work, but that's actually a
good thing because I'm finally (after a YEAR AND A HALF of documentation and
"design" (not really) work) coding.  I love to code ...

wrestling turns rough07 Apr 2005 03:27 GMT2
I'm trying to cram for my test today when I hear the familiar grunts of
two kitties wrestling.  I look up and Mischief and Imp are going at it
on the living room floor.  Suddenly Imp manages to get the upper hand
and pounces on Mischief, totally knockig her back into the wall.

So, where's my 'kitty bag', hmmmm?  I requested the Duck & Sausage Gumbo and
the Halibut in Asparagus sauce :)
Hope your anniversary dinner was most enjoyable!

cy-purr mouse06 Apr 2005 23:06 GMT4
Has anyone bought one of these for their furbabies? John thought
Silver and Scout would love it because they could chase it... so we
got one. Only when we took it out of the box and turned it on, they
were at first alarmed by the loud noise and the blinky eyes - and then
Sammy's TED checkup (the cat viewpoint)06 Apr 2005 19:02 GMT2
Sammy's take: It was TERRIBLE - absolutely the worst day EVER. Should
have known something was up when the hoomin got up so early (7 after
getting home at 3 from a hard night's work delivering pizza). He
stumbled into the kitchen, and instead of feeding Momma and me,
