Calvin leaves for adoption today18 Apr 2005 15:59 GMT20
Calvin, a member of his house since December is finally ready to go to
his new home.  Actually, he's been ready for a while now, but we've been
putting it off because he's such a nice guy.  We're really going to miss
him, but he really needs a home of his own where no one ...
Surgery scheduled18 Apr 2005 15:56 GMT37
As some of you know I have been waiting a long time, hoping to have Cochlear
Implant surgery to allow me to hear.
Last July my insurance cancelled the surgery less than 24 hours before I was
due to have it done.  And nearly two months after we had set up the

It's a bright sunny day here and all the girls were hanging out in my
bedroom taking in some sun (except Demi was taking it in from under the bed!
;>).

After waiting almost 8 years for the kitten picture and another 2 years
for the other picture my sister finally emailed me these photos.  I
have never been handy with a camera ( I always take headless photos)
You can see Sassys photos here.
Sammy Rescues Jessie!18 Apr 2005 13:30 GMT2
I was putting away my winter coats into the closet under the stairs earlier
today.  A few hours later I noticed Sammy sitting in front of this closet
with her nose at the crack at the bottom of the door.  I didn't think
anything of it and went about my business.  A little while ...
GW: "what my cats have killed" blog18 Apr 2005 12:51 GMT17
I am stuck between saying, "UGH!" and laughing, in a "what a warped sense
of humor someone has!" sort of way, at this concept. Someone just posted a
link to this blog, titled "What my cats have killed", in a message board
that I read.
Cinders goes to TED18 Apr 2005 03:29 GMT11
Last weekend, Cinders was due for her annual rabies shot.
Unfortunately, she figured out what was going on and went into full
escape-artist mode until after the vet's office had closed for the
day.  So, I left the cat-carrier in the bathroom all week, getting her

Pam, I tried to enlist Sammy and Jessie on the Mouser, but I don't think I
got through to you via email.  Can you add them - my email addie is not
munged.

CAT KILLINGS IN WISCONSIN17 Apr 2005 23:55 GMT7
Did you know that they are trying to make it legal to hunt or kill (in
any fashion) feral and stray cats in Wisconsin? This would mean that it
would be open season on all cats without a collar. This evilness must
stop.  Please check out dontshoothecat.com
Integrating Raki with Bandit & Snowball17 Apr 2005 23:10 GMT9
Briefly, as RL is getting in the way big-time at present, best wishes to
all.
Raki the d-pet is ever-so-slowly settling down, but he isn't coping with
"traff-ick" very well and cries woefully if I go out & leave him at home

Zoom Groom17 Apr 2005 16:08 GMT2
One of you delightful cat slaves mentioned this magical invention in the
group.  Leading our Mommy to buy one at Petsmart yesterday.
She was surprised at how easily it fits into her arthritic hands, and how
well it collects the fur it removes.  She said something about a whole new ...
Slightly missed purrday17 Apr 2005 13:57 GMT6
Rhonda turned 3 yesterday.  She clearly seems to be a "mini-Coon",
having the appearance of a Maine Coon, but weighing under 7 pounds.  She
waves to all admirers.
One thing I hate about spring: shedding17 Apr 2005 13:47 GMT9
I was petting Basho earlier and I ended up *covered* in cat hair. I
don't mind cat hair, of course (hey, with 7 cats I'd better not mind cat
hair!), but he is shedding a whole lot of hair!
Time to break out the brush and start brushing cats. :)
Kitten Formula Question17 Apr 2005 11:15 GMT10
Sammy just turned 1 year old.  However she seems to have a lot of Maine Coon
in her ancestry.  I've heard that Maine Coons keep growing until they are 3
years old.  So my question is, should I continue to give her kitten formula,
even though she is getting a little pudgy, so she'll ...
