OT: Cheetah Cub pictures 25 Mar 2005 01:29 GMT24
Four Cheetah cubs were born at the National Zoo in Washington, DC USA on
November 23 2004.  Just recently they were put on display for the public
for a couple of hours every day with their Mother.  We live not far from
the zoo and went down to see them.  Adorable doesn't even ...
Help - did I hurt Otis?25 Mar 2005 00:51 GMT23
I'm worried sick about Otis.
I rather childishly went to slam our back door (looooong story) and Otis
chose that moment to try to rush outside into the freezing weather and snow
(????).  The door bounced back off of him and he shot right back into the
A dubious first (mild GW)25 Mar 2005 00:33 GMT2
I almost slipped in the kitchen today, but, on reflection, am counting
my blessings. Somebody got rid of their gooshy cat food on the easily
cleaned kitchen floor.
As far as I know, none of the three have ever had a hairball in getting
I'm leaving now24 Mar 2005 19:17 GMT8
Everyone asked for reports, so this just in: I am leaving now to go
fetch Mere. Will be back in a couple of hours. :o) I think I'm going to
throw up before that, though. My tummy's full of flutterbies.
CatQuake!!!24 Mar 2005 18:58 GMT50
I woke up very early this morning and the bed (waveless waterbed) was
*really* shaking.  Since I live on a fault line (the New Madrid) for a
minute I was convinced we were having an earthquake.  It took me a minute to
realize it was Persia, engaged in a really vigorous grooming ...
Otis24 Mar 2005 18:57 GMT3
I'm new to the newsgroup and I'm not sure how to put a pic of Otis
(Lord Otis of Walthamstow to give him his correct title!) - on here,
someone advise me and I'll give it a go, thanks.
drat! (OT - car trouble)24 Mar 2005 16:55 GMT25
So I'm finally feeling like I might get over this bronchitis.  I can breathe
almost without obstruction, it's a sunny day, life is good.  I head over to a
nearby bakery for a yummy sandwich, and on the way back to work ...
I get rear-ended =/
Boone's biopsy24 Mar 2005 16:02 GMT21
Boone's growth was a benign inflammatory polyp and he should be fine.

oh, and Arthur, too24 Mar 2005 15:34 GMT1
I knew I put it off too long.  Arthur is 10 months old and still
intact.  And he suddenly thinks Sabra is his girlfriend.  Yikes!  So
he has an appointment in a couple of weeks for the Big Snip.  Just
hope Sabra can tolerate it in the meanwhile, poor baby.
Help - did I hurt Otis UPDATE24 Mar 2005 11:22 GMT16
Thank you all for your concern.  I felt just nauseated after doing that to
Otis.
He appears to be totally completely fine.  In fact, the little monster got
up at 3 AM and raced around the house, running over our heads, clawing at
"Cat lovers" (LONG)24 Mar 2005 10:17 GMT12
I was reading Kelly's email about her wonderful friend who needed some
purrs and it got me thinking about something which I am sure everyone
has encountered- "Cat lovers"
Now I don't mean the slaves gathered on this list but people who make
UPDATE: Grumpy Buster24 Mar 2005 10:00 GMT15
Buster has survived his experience, but he is definitely grumpy.
They lanced and drained his leg, and neutered him. His leg is still
draining, and the vet said they want itto continue to drain. So his
poor leg is sore and seeping for now.
OT: Wish me Luck24 Mar 2005 09:56 GMT16
I'm going to my brother's house tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM (Central Time).
I shouldn't be worried about this except it is difficult sometimes for me to
venture into the world of "family".  I had to make an appointment! so he'd
be able to plan the rest of his day.  Maybe he's going ...
Purrs for Nadia please24 Mar 2005 09:40 GMT29
Yesterday I took in a new foster.  She is about a year old
and has several health problems that we are trying to
help her recover from.  She was rescued from the home of a
"breeder" (should more correctly be called a hoarder)
The Chronicles of Frank VIII24 Mar 2005 09:26 GMT4
To celebrate that, for the first time in several weeks, I have 0 unread
posts on rpca, I asked Frank if he wouldn't like to continue his life
story. He was a little reluctant at first, finding my bed and his
favourite blankie so very comfortable in our cold, cold neck of the
