OT:  Dinner party menu tweaking?  LONG27 Mar 2005 16:55 GMT19
I'm taking a break from all the slicing and dicing I've been doing for
tomorrow nights dinner party.  While I was slicing and dicing, I got to
wondering if my menu was ok.  Any of you foodies care to offer a tweak or
two?

Eddy Catches a Mouse27 Mar 2005 14:09 GMT16
I've been a cat owner for only eight and a half years. Certainly a
long-time small furry creature lover, but, until I brought in Maggie
(now around 11) from my then-girlfriend's parking lot, I never had a
cat.
She's ba-aaack!27 Mar 2005 07:32 GMT9
LOL.  Bandit is now well enough to be allowed out of my bedroom, so she came
into my office, swatted Sammy off of my lap so she could jump up here,
settled herself into a comfortable position, then when I dared to try to pet
her she hissed at me and tried to bite my hand again!!!  ...
Mere standoff27 Mar 2005 06:36 GMT8
Things are still much the same around here: Nikki hisses at Mere, Mere
hisses at both the big cats, Frank mrrps and mrows at Mere. They all
seem to have divided the flat into territories. the bedroom belongs to
Frank and Nikki, and Mere never goes in there. The living room is ...
PING Frank27 Mar 2005 06:09 GMT1
Frank my sweet. How is the young whippersnapper treating you? Is she
behaving or does she require a swift reminder of who she should grovel to,
and of her place in the great scheme of things (bottom of the pile) via a
swift bat of my velvet claw about her ears?
Got a job interview! OT27 Mar 2005 04:54 GMT35
This is kind of a weird kismet sort of thing.  There's a small book
publishing company about 20 miles from me.  They do those fundraising
cookbooks that schools and church groups put together to raise funds as well
as for people who want to publish their own family cookbooks and ...
We're going for a record here!27 Mar 2005 04:47 GMT8
I've got it!!  The reason Sonya is STILL pregnant is that she wants to
go for the Guinness World record as the longest domesticated feline
pregnancy.  SO, if we all chant "go for it, Sonya." and purr that she
lasts another week we should qualify for that record.

The World's longest Cat Pregnancy is Still On27 Mar 2005 03:27 GMT34
Ok, she STILL hasn't had them.  Mike checked her out with stethoscope
and can still hear a bunch of purrs.  He also says that Sonya's nipples
are full and starting to produce milk.  She is starting to produce a
sort of line indentation down the center of her tummy.  Does that ...
Am I over feeding?27 Mar 2005 03:18 GMT22
Hi, I feed my Sassafras (Sassy) wet and dry food. After reading several
of the post regarding feeding, diets and what not, I think maybe I feed
her too much.  Her vet has never said anything about her being over
weight, actually when they weighed her Wednesday she was 13 ½ pounds.
The landlord sold the building :-(27 Mar 2005 03:07 GMT10
After two months shy of 19 years with Ken as my landlord, he finally
decided to get out of the rental business, and sold the building
(ironically, he sold it back to the same guy he bought it from!).
I've been assured that our rent will stay low and cats will be okay.
Another shot of Otis and me sleeping27 Mar 2005 02:20 GMT19
Fred took another picture this AM.  This time, Otis was pressed up against
my face like he likes to be.  He looks much more well groomed than I do :-)
And like good animal/human companions, we look somewhat alike - we both have
pointy noses :-)
Talk about navigation skills!26 Mar 2005 21:36 GMT4
We are back in Ripon, CA where had an excellent dark walk a couple of
weeks ago through an adjacent almond orchard.  Today I parked in a
totally different part of the truck stop where the orchard wasn't even
visible.
