Kitty hierarchy: NOT engraved in stone, apparently06 Mar 2005 05:51 GMT6
When Captain and Stanley arrived here in January, it was clear that Captain
was the more dominant and/or outgoing of the two cats. He was the one that
investigated new things while Stanley observed. If disaster didn't ensue,
Stanley knew it was a safe place to go, safe game to play, ...
Movie "The Cat Returns"06 Mar 2005 04:58 GMT2
Just a quick note - as folks who appreciate cats, humor, and the other fine things in life.
Disney / Buena Vista Home Video released three DVDs with little fanfare last month.  All three are by Studio Ghibli, the winners of the Academy Award for best animation the
first time it ...
[ABUSE WARNING] Poor Maggie dog!06 Mar 2005 04:39 GMT16
My brother's Springer Spaniel Maggie has been battling a respiratory
infection for about 3 weeks now. As if that and her recent seizures
weren't enough, she fell off the seat of Pat's truck a couple days ago
and looked to be in pain. So Pat took her in to the vet to followup on
Where are you from?06 Mar 2005 00:00 GMT136
Not long ago, somebody started a "What do you do for a living?" thread.
That was real interesting. I'm a relative newcomer, and I haven't fixed
in my mind where everybody lives.
What country/state do you live in? Is that where you're originally
OT Eeeek!  In the Harbor!05 Mar 2005 22:13 GMT19
In this morning's New York Times.  I'm just sorry I can't attach the
cute picture that went with the ariticle.  Seals do come along here
occasionally-- we were all astonished a couple of years ago to see one
fishing in the Gowanus Canal. ;)

Last night I was working on the computer and Smokey was
poke-poke-pokin' on my lap, all folded into a meatloaf.  DH went into
the kitchen.  Suddenly, Smokey tensed right up, then sprang from my
lap and beelined into the kitchen.

Grant RIP05 Mar 2005 17:08 GMT94
My beautiful boy had advanced lymphoma. They strongly suggested euthanasia
not bringing him out and he has been so terribly miserable I ok'd it.
Somehow, I really thought maybe that was it. He was so utterly utterly
miserable. I can't believe though. You never really believe it. My ...
Cat survives 10-mile roof ride05 Mar 2005 14:31 GMT19
This article describes one *very lucky* cat.  A motorist pulled over to the
side of the road after another motorist kept pointing to her roof.  Wary of
the man, she kept her windows rolled up -- until he reached onto the top of
her car and retrieved her cat!
Ping Adrian re microchip05 Mar 2005 12:00 GMT2
I think it was you that told me about a new microchip that also read the
cat's temperature so there was no need for thermometer up the unmentionable
in the future which cats hate so much.
I've been waiting to get back to work and earn again so I can get Boyfriend
Pics of my recent trek - OT05 Mar 2005 08:36 GMT9
I've finally managed to go through all our pictures from the trek
Dennis and I went on recently.  I decided to make a webshots album
instead of my usual yahoo one because the yahoo pictures are always so
small.  Anyway, here is the link, enjoy!
Oh dear! ;o)05 Mar 2005 07:53 GMT3
It comes to something when you can tell who is using the covered litter
box just by the way the litter is being scraped, in the same way I can
tell who is jumping onto the bed at night without me looking and I can
tell who is going up and down the stairs or eating out of the bowl! I
