I've told you guys about my gastric bypass surgery (March 12, 2004), my new
diet and how much I'm exercising.  I've also told you that I'd lost my job
right after buying my house and could only find another making half my pay.
So....

Okay, on March 16th, during my surgery lab, I got to be surgical
assistant to my professor Dr. Grisham during a cat spay.
As I've mentioned before, everyone in class participates in same way
with the spay.  For some of us, we are placing catheters or

Nikki just snuck into the bathroom and scarfed down some of Mere's
kitten food before I realised what she was doing. 'Fluffy' Nikki
certainly doesn't need any extra nutritious kitten food to add to her
fluffiness. Hmph.
Stupid Question30 Mar 2005 00:24 GMT5
Okay, I'm used to having cats around always have had.  However, the
problem appears to be that it has been so long since I've been around a
PG cat, that I am not sure what to expect.  All my cats have been
"fixed"  when they were old enough (except Leonidas, TED is supposed to

For a while, we let the cable go. We had customer service issues with our
local provider (that is to say, we got three days of rudeness and no help
when trying to make payment) so we decided to go tubeless a while. Louie and
I listened to a lot of CD's and NPR, played with the kids, ...
Highway Sign30 Mar 2005 00:09 GMT2
We passed a sign on the freeway on US 80 near Lake Tahoe yesterday.  Fine
for abandoning animals $1,000.  I'd never seen it before and don't know if
its state law, or just on the highway because of the accident risk or what.
Aside from believing that anyone who abandons an animal ...

I made myself some jook, which is in essence rice porridge with
chicken.  I had a little bit of it in front of my on my desk and I'm
trying to write my lab report.
Mischief just jumps up and since I wasn't paying attention to her,

It Sucks to be Little29 Mar 2005 17:45 GMT9
Poor Sammy.  It sucks to be the "littlest" sister.
Bandit (9+ pounds) is sitting on Mommy's lap in Mommy's office.  Oh boy, I
can go cuddle with Mommy *and* big sister!!  Sammy runs over, jumps up to
put her two front feet on Mommys leg, looks at Bandit with a smile on her

I thought it was bad enough with Stosh playing Tarzan on my hair. Oh no.
Roxie has an almighty strength I didn't think possible in an 8 pound cat.
It was vet time in recent weeks. Roxie's not much for being held as it is,
and when she saw the carrier she went ballistic. I simply ...
Thing in a bag29 Mar 2005 16:14 GMT5
The Easter Bunny brought Oliver a "Thing in a bag."  He loves it!  My
only wish is that it was remote control so I could start it without him
seeing me touch it.
But I wanna go OOOOUUUTTT!!!!29 Mar 2005 14:10 GMT19

Please could we have some good luck purrs?29 Mar 2005 12:06 GMT30
Please could we have some good luck purrs? For the last 12 months, Paul
(my other 1/2) and I, have been working to get our fledgeling TV
production company, Dark Tiger, off the ground. This is as well as
doing my PhD.
Spider sense with Otis29 Mar 2005 05:56 GMT7
I'm worried that Otis is not feeling well.
He's been doing this lip smacking thing for a couple of months that makes it
look like he's nauseated.  He had a huge hairball (Chester's, if you recall
since Otis doesn't have a lot of fur) a couple of weeks ago but he's still
