Sam purrs18 Mar 2005 05:27 GMT10
I'm trying to get caught up with the messages before I leave the office
and wanted to ask for purrs for Sam tomorrow. He will be going to TED in
the morning and will have his teeth cleaned and an updated chest X-ray
to see how he's responding to his asthma medicine.  This is the ...
Oliver is hypoallergenic (I think)18 Mar 2005 05:05 GMT3
I think Oliver is a hypoallergenic cat.  My husband Steve has always
been very allergic to cats but by some strange twist of fate he has
never had an allergic reaction to Oliver.  I always had three theories
about this.  1) Oliver was so small when Steve found him that Steve was
Thank Bast for little kittens!18 Mar 2005 04:32 GMT25
Yesterday Harri Roadcat definitely earned her keep.
It was a rough day for us - basically a 27 hour day with just one short
catnap in the middle. Very stressful with lots of problems, and due to
various causes we were only able to get in one short kitten walk during
Veterinary Malpractice18 Mar 2005 03:38 GMT10
This story was run in my area paper today. Thought some folks might
find it interesting.

cats should be spayed or neutered?  I ask because I see lots of posts about
kittens and expecting kittens etc.  Is that because of people here breeding
or unexpected kittens?

and Casey paws at my arm and hand for attention... All he wants is to be
cradled and he paws and paws.....
What a love bug. :p
Who ever said cats were independent?  This one is not.

I just love them so much.  Half-brothers who are 10.  I had them since they
were 8 weeks old.

A decision - of sorts17 Mar 2005 19:36 GMT45
Well, I'm going to try it. There are still three left of the blue
kittens, and I'm going to take one home over Easter, when I'm off work
for four days, so I can keep an eye on what happens. I decided against
two, because that would just have been too much at once. Besides, there
PING Julie17 Mar 2005 17:58 GMT3
Hey Julie:
Did you have any luck getting a hold of the Shirks?
It feels a little like a bad adventure movie.  Person A is missing so you
send Person B off to find them.  Then Person B disappears ...
Archie update17 Mar 2005 17:49 GMT9
It seems that Archie is feeling better.  TED was loathe to do eye surgery
since it is so complex a system in there.  Archie still has his eye, which
is still infected, though healing ok.  Kate doesn't think that Archie can
see from it though.
a strip of toilet paper and 17 Mar 2005 17:25 GMT13
my cat has the best toy ever made..... all he needs is like 6 little squares
of toilet paper and he plays and plays with it for hours and he is 10 years
old.  I have bought just about every cat toy ever made over the years and
even have a toy box to store all these things in.  It is ...
Ding is 3 today17 Mar 2005 11:47 GMT20
Ding, my resident hanger-on at some strange existentialist philosophy
salon, is three today. He appears to have developed a three-way switch:
  1. Stop, consider a question along the lines of:
      a. Am I here?
Bandit's Boo-boo - More Pictures17 Mar 2005 11:18 GMT25
Cats are truly amazing - not that I have to tell you guys that!
Bandit is getting better at an incredible rate.  I went to the vet this
morning to pick up some more pain meds, but I don't think she's going to
need them.  She hasn't had one since last night and she seems to be quite
Bandit's Second Burn Now17 Mar 2005 10:51 GMT17
I need you guys' help.  The vet told me to watch the burn closely for any
change of color or appearance and if there is I was to take her in right
away so they could do surgery.  Well, the burn looks different than it did,
but it might be that it's getting better.  For those who can ...
