She's So [sic] Fun She Fell Right Over!19 Mar 2005 03:34 GMT10
Persia frequently walks in front of me, glances back to make sure I'm still
there, then literally falls over on her side.  She rolls over, belly up,
asking for tummy rubs!  She did not used to do this.  She'd tolerate tummy
(actually chest) rubs if I found her on her back.  Now it ...
My poor vomiting cat19 Mar 2005 03:29 GMT20
Okay...Willow has not been doing well keeping down food.  Initially I
thought it was dyes in the cheap brand I had been feeding her.  So I
switched to more costly brands such as Royal Kanin and James Wellbeloved.
She still had issues with throwing up.
Purr request #1 UPDATE19 Mar 2005 00:23 GMT6
Thank you all for the purrs :)
Mom's surgery went "very well" according to her doctor although we were
wearing holes in Dad's floor waiting for the call.  They had said five
hours for the surgery but it was nearly *ten* hours!  I think we were
Daisy's bloodwork is all good! :)18 Mar 2005 23:45 GMT1
One step down. Now we wait for the EKG on Tuesday. Thanks for the link
to the virtual tour. I saw the EKG. I understand that it depends what
kind of machine they have. Some use clips & don't shave. Some have to
shave.
Nikki and Valium18 Mar 2005 22:49 GMT18
Today our vet has given Nikki  (10-year-old burmese) a second cortisone shot
for the severe itching/hair loss around her eyes plus a topical ointment for
same.  In addition, he has given me some Valium pills which he hopes will
stop her excessive grooming of her underside....

Feline renal failure18 Mar 2005 19:59 GMT3
Hope somebody can help.
I have two beautiful cats, who are getting on a bit in age.  Both are
beginning to to suffer kidney disorders.  My vet prescribed Hills KD
dry pellets.  This seems to work fine, but it is way beyond my budget,
Took Daisy to TED18 Mar 2005 19:53 GMT20
Between this group & another cat group I belong to, the stories of how
cats hide their illnesses were getting to me. I have personal
experience with this, too, with Bonnie (RB). :( Daisy acts fine, eats
fine, her weight is fine. But almost all of her behaviors have changed
Sammy-in-the-box!18 Mar 2005 19:37 GMT4
I was walking from my office to my bedroom to go check on Bandit and had to
do a double take - then back-tracked to go get my camera.  This was just too
cute - Sammy-in-the-box pops her head up for a look.

Another important discovery18 Mar 2005 16:11 GMT11
Today was another rought one - rolled out of Colton at 3 AM, took our
first break at 8 PM, won't get a full 8 hours of sleep until tomorrow
morning. Harri has been very good and very patient, looking forward to a
long dark walk at the Sacramento yard. When we got to the customer ...

Timmy's story18 Mar 2005 12:11 GMT9
Timmy (Rosemary's new baby) was one of a litter of six kittens, he was the
smallest of the litter at just under 50g - he had to be resuscitated at
birth and for the first few days of his life I feed him with an eye dropper.
At about 4 weeks I noticed that there was something not ...
Update: Sam purrs18 Mar 2005 11:43 GMT5
Thank you all for the purrs for Sam. I had asked our Vet to take chest
x-rays so that we can see if there is any improvement in his lungs since
the January crisis. She just called and said there isn't a lot of
improvement and she wants to start him on amoxicillan and hold off on
