Vivid dreams31 Mar 2005 22:06 GMT3
Francis is curled up on Vernon's chair in the office. He's fast asleep. He
is, however, dreaming. His tail is lashing and his whiskers are twitching
madly. It's just the sort of stuff he does when he's sat on the windowsill
watching the birds go for the nuts in the feeders ...

Poopster and the Mechanic31 Mar 2005 19:51 GMT4
The continuation of "Smokey is a poopster."
One time my parents were cat sitting and I was on military service.
When DP got back from his trip, he went to pick up Nox and Smokey.
About three hours after leaving my parents' place, his car broke down.
The mellowing of Buster31 Mar 2005 19:35 GMT4
Since Buster has had his snip, he has started to mellow a bit more.
Now, Buster has always been a sweet cat, and very loving, but he
always had that look of a world-weary, battle-scarred old tomcat. He
insisted on going outside, and vigorously chased off other cats on his
PING: How is Otis today?31 Mar 2005 17:10 GMT14

How stupid am I?31 Mar 2005 14:33 GMT8
We had a crazy morning this morning since I had to get Otis to TED for his
urine test and all the other domestic things required to get my two kids fed
and out of the house and my daughter to art class.
After Otis and I struggled to the death over getting him into the carrier
Sugar ghost or errant cat?31 Mar 2005 08:15 GMT5
Monday morning:  I make breakfast and add sugar to my coffee using a
restaurant-style dispenser jar.
Monday night:  I wake to the sound of an empty soda can clattering to
the kitchen floor.  I get up, yell at one of two cats that's obviously
On becoming a housecat31 Mar 2005 06:24 GMT9
When we first met Odessa at a showing in a local pet store, she had a little
sign on her cage, "My name's Odessa... I've been returned to the shelter
several times... I'm a little shy... I don't know why no one wants me."
Their loss is our gain.
New setup31 Mar 2005 06:12 GMT13
I hauled the middle tree out from the bedroom today for something new. The
girls loved it. I have added the "Zoomie Kitty Map" to show how optimal this
set up is.

Calvin Photos31 Mar 2005 05:12 GMT4
I finally got a couple of good pictures of Calvin, the other foster cat.
You can't see it in these pictures, but Calvin has what looks like a
dirty splot around his mouth, like he'd been caught eating gooshy food
and hadn't licked it off.  I think it is way too cute, but I have ...
Smokey is a poopster.31 Mar 2005 05:12 GMT7
Why my dad calls Smokey "The Poopster."
After a week of kittysitting Nox and Smokey, it was time to put the
cats in their crates for the six hour drive to our place.  THey
weren't in the car long before smokey started to cry.  He'd cried a
And this is my problem?31 Mar 2005 04:53 GMT4
Charlie came home from the grandson's little league game a bit ago.  I
wasn't feeling well and was lying down.  But he still found it necessary to
come and ask me if I'd let one of the cats out while he was gone.  Yes Molly
had escaped.  As she does most evenings given a shred of ...
Ping Marina31 Mar 2005 03:51 GMT2
Hi, Marina
I read in another thread that you are thinking of stopping Nikki's
prednisolone.
I understand why you would want to do this, but please check with your vet
