I *SO* love this group!21 Feb 2005 22:00 GMT7
I don't know of any place on earth or cyberspace with people as kind,
understanding, caring and just plain *GOOD* as you folks here.  Every other
group I've ever been a part of, either RL or cyber, has its flamers, its
factions, its politics.
My turn for job purrs21 Feb 2005 21:34 GMT22
My long-term temp job is about to get cut.
I've filed for unemployment but the first time I can make a claim is at
the end of this month.
I need purrs that something else comes up SOON. "Soon" as in YESTERDAY.
OT:  Grammy -- anybody tape it?21 Feb 2005 21:07 GMT4
I missed most of the Grammy Awards, and only found out later that
Melissa Etheridge did a tribute to Janis Joplin.  They are two of my
all-time, absolute favorites.  Did anybody happen to tape the Grammys?
I would love to have a copy of Melissa's tribute (don't need the whole
Looking Back... LONG21 Feb 2005 20:55 GMT9
I've only been owned by Persia (my only ever cat) for 4 years.  But I've
been thinking lately about how she's brought me so much joy; so much fun
into my home.
She demanded to be let inside; literally.  The first night she was here, I

Very strange that the web site for the architects has changed
considerably....there are now no details of anyone who works there, only
basic tel nos and an info @ ....address. HMMM wonder why? I also wonder who
changed it all. Very dedicated to work from hospital bed!! Notice ...

My possessive Dusty ...21 Feb 2005 12:55 GMT8
Again, I gotta say, I have NEVER had a cat as POSSESSIVE as my Dusty.
Always at my side ... in bed ... at the dinner table ... at the
computer ... on the couch ... in the freakin BATHROOM ... I'm sure if
she could handle WATER she'd be sitting beside me in the shower.
Purrs for Teachers!21 Feb 2005 10:50 GMT12
Do we have any teachers on this group, lurking or otherwise?
I recently received my state license to be a substitute teacher (doing
this while continuing my job search for something in-line with my
actual work experience), and am listed with 2 local school districts.
So depressed21 Feb 2005 10:35 GMT36
Just really feel discouraged. Grant seems worse today. He did eat a half jar
of turkey baby food at lunch, but tonight he just doesn't want anything. He
peed but nothing else. I'm just so discouraged. I called my best friend and
she is out all night. So, I guess I just had to ...
Cosmo Update21 Feb 2005 10:12 GMT16
Well, DH decided to try to help me with the second Giving of the
Fluids Ritual yesterday.  He really doesn't know how to hold cats
properly, and he transmits his nervousness, so I wasn't sure if it was
a good idea.
[OT] About "rruth"21 Feb 2005 07:23 GMT11
Truth.  I feel very, *VERY* strongly about this.
I pride myself on being a scrupulously honest person - to the point of
sometimes baring all my faults for the world to see (reference putting all
my "fat" pictures on the net and talking frankly about my gastric bypass
[OT] New Yowlet pics21 Feb 2005 06:57 GMT9
By the time this is posted (they're uploading as I type), there should be a
bunch of new Yowlet photos at Yahoo. (Or you could re-visit the old ones).
I'm already amazed at how much he's changed, and can't really remember his
face when he was still a newborn unless I look at the ...
I wish I had a microphone!21 Feb 2005 04:10 GMT16
When I sat down at my computer this morning Scout jumped up on to the
desk in front of me and lay down. That's not unusual - she likes to be
close by... what was out of the ordinary was the volume of her purrs
when I scritched her head. She sounded like a motorboat! I wish I had
Favorite Place to Post Cat Photos?21 Feb 2005 03:34 GMT8
You folks were so friendly to me yesterday that I thought I'd ask your
opinion on this.
(Many thanks to CatNipped!)
I'd like everyone's opinons on the best place to display pet photos online.
Taming of the Wildcats21 Feb 2005 03:14 GMT8
I don't post about MamaKat (Weeble & the FF's birthmother) here very often,
but I know that some of you might wonder about her from time to time.
Actually, I haven't seen MamaKat since before Christmas (when we had a
pretty bad snowstorm, about 18 inches or so) but the three from ...
