Unfortunately, this doesn't lend itself to a picture. I had to move
around a fair bit before I understood the cat geometry!
I have a table on which I have indoor plant lights and trays for
starting seeds or growing small plants. Behind the table are a set of

I'm sad that many of you have been hurt by all the recent unpleasantness
but I admire the way you are dealing with it and just love the recipes

It's not so bad that I let her go!24 Feb 2005 17:47 GMT4
Thank you all for your kind words -- you really helped me.
I'm feeling much better now -- last night I got a phone call
from one of the adopters, to tell me how thrilled they are
with the little cat, how their mother (who hadn't seen her)
Answer to the question of just how much they understand24 Feb 2005 16:13 GMT11
My boys crack me up sometimes.  I know we've had this conversation
before about just how much human language our animals understand.  We'll
I am here to testify today that they understand EVERYTHING.
We're moving at the end of the summer into a condo that is being built

How could I let her go?24 Feb 2005 14:22 GMT14
I just need a hug and a bit of reassurance that we did the right
thing, that time will soothe all hurts, etc. etc. If you don't mind.
We foster cats for a rescue group. At the moment, in addition to our
own three, we have 2 adult fosters. We had another little girl until
Sibling... err hand jealousy24 Feb 2005 13:56 GMT6
I'm sitting with Nikki in my lap, and I'm scritching her ears. She is
really leaning into the scritches. Suddenly, the back of my hand starts
itching, and I have to stop scritching Nikki and scratch the back of my
hand. A good long while. I look down. Nikki is looking at me with ...
Update: Ripley is home24 Feb 2005 11:00 GMT23
Well the vet decided she can come home so I picked her up earlier today.
Her surgery (for bladder stones) apparently went well. She has dribbled out
a few drops of what appear to be bloody urine but the vet says this is
normal for now.

Purrs please for Ripley24 Feb 2005 04:07 GMT35
Our kitty Ripley had to have emergency surgery today for bladder stones.
She is most likely having it now as I type this.
I posted a couple of Ripley pics over on the binary group a.b.p.a
I'm hoping there is no kidney damage and that the little girl will come
Purrs needed for HRFL Tiger24 Feb 2005 03:59 GMT36
Please could HRFL Tiger have some purrs and prayers? We've just got
back from the vet and I am worried sick. He's been a bit "OFF" for the
last few weeks, nothing particular, just a bit more clingy than normal
and a bit quieter, so tonight off to TED we went.
Purrs for Nathan please?24 Feb 2005 03:53 GMT17
Greetings all.
We have snow. Several inches of it - which is a lot for this part of the
world. For once, and surprisingly, the schools have not closed. Nathan
cycles the 13 miles to college each day. This morning he set off early and
Boop test24 Feb 2005 03:07 GMT8
I've been thinking about that phrase I learned a few weeks ago, "Booping
the Hube", after Hubie sent some purrs to Captain for his sore leg.
So I decided to do a little test to see if my kitties are boopable.
Conveniently, both cats are resting on the sofa near me, after having worn
Belive as you wish24 Feb 2005 03:00 GMT44
Holly is telling this to me as I write it. We are reading the post
today as I to had become interested in all the cat stories. We both
were very supprised about what we found. She does want to answer the
questions and you do with them as you wish.
OT A Dog's Life24 Feb 2005 02:24 GMT23
A couple of weeks ago, as I passed a business near my house, I noticed
a splendid big dog tied outside.  He was a German shepherd type-dog,
very heavy-boned-- but on closer examination, I saw that he was very
young-- hardly more than a big puppy.  He had bright, curious eyes, a
