cool cat trees thread08 Feb 2005 17:16 GMT50
So, I'm looking at cat trees online, even though shipping costs an arm and a
leg, because the trees I've seen locally haven't impressed me.  It makes me
nervous, though, because I hate to spend a few hundred bucks on a cat tree
that Oscar might ignore completely.
Purrrrrr, finally a human celebration we kitties understand!08 Feb 2005 06:27 GMT11
Finally! A human tradition that makes sense to kitties!
All over the USA, humans are holding Supper Bowl parties as even as we
type. Purr-sonally, we love the idea. We celebrate OUR supper bowls every
day, especially when Meowmy puts cat food into them. We think it's high
Pan's Progress08 Feb 2005 06:26 GMT9
Just a brief note to tell all that Pan has begun walking more normally on
all four legs, now being almost 10 days out of his bandages. Immediately
after being unbandaged, he was still hopping around on three legs, favoring
the weak one. But now he's beginning to trust the leg again, ...
Cat Politics08 Feb 2005 04:46 GMT15
I'm new to this multi-cat household thing.
Should I interfere in catly politics?
Basically, IBKFergus moved in, and right away she decided she was boss.
At the start, Shmogg just considered her an SEP[1] and went about his

Who needs a ventriloquist's dummy when you've got this supersmart
african grey parrot for a pet?
I was just amazed by this bird, what a cutie!!
Rufous is a climber!!!07 Feb 2005 21:30 GMT12
Rufous has decided to emulate Basho and Issa, who love to ride on our
shoulders. Basho and Issa have been doing it since they were kittens,
and they're quite good at it. It helps to be wearing two layers, but
they usually don't use their claws much. They wrap themselves around

OT: Movie Sideways07 Feb 2005 17:37 GMT4
We went to see Sideways yesterday. It was a great movie, although I
really didn't like the personality of the main characters. There is one
piece of dialogue, when the main guy describes why he loves Pinot Noir
that is really, really good. Anyhow, it's a fun movie. I was looking ...
Captain finds the stereo greeblings07 Feb 2005 15:24 GMT3
It was only a matter of time, I suppose. We were playing a rousing game of
"chase the fishing pole toy" last night. Captain mistimed his jump and ran
into the stereo, hitting the "on" button for the CD changer. It promptly
lit up in yellow and red, and whirred to life with its quiet ...
The Mighty Hunter kitties killed the cat-food bag07 Feb 2005 15:21 GMT11
All three of my previous cats lived to be senior-citizen kitties, and I
never had a problem storing the cat food in a bag in a place that was
easily accessible.
Captain and Stanley, on the other hand, are Mighty Hunters. No cat-food
Strange thing...07 Feb 2005 11:25 GMT14
Normally, cats don't buzz like a bee. However, with my crew, you never know
what is going to happen. Yesterday several of them were having a case of the
'zoomies', running up and down the stairs and zipping by me through the
dining room into the kitchen and back. So, I didn't think ...
Purrs please for George RB07 Feb 2005 10:27 GMT24
Sad news from my lovely neighbour Heather, whose cat-rescuing daughter
Sarah recently had that serious operation for which you kindly purred &
had a fine outcome: Heather's rescue cat George, a sturdy all-black full
polydactl of friendly nature and fine hunter, developed fluid on ...
The guilt trip is starting two months early07 Feb 2005 10:22 GMT3
Nanki-Poo is so sweet and loving, except when he has the zoomies, and then
it's fun to watch him or play with him.  In two months I'm going to
Australia for four weeks, and I'm already starting to feel guilty about
leaving him for so long.  I got him partly so Lindy wouldn't be ...
A Tribute to Pericles - by Sammy07 Feb 2005 09:45 GMT4
My dearest Pericles,
I hope that your Daddy might read this to you over your grave when he is
strong enough again to do so.
Alas life didn't give us the time to get to know each other well, but what I
