A Meowmie just can't win!09 Feb 2005 23:08 GMT2
I can never catch a break with these two.  Boone (our Lab) was sick all
over the kitchen floor.  Before you feel too sorry for him he was sick
because he had swallowed too big of a piece of bone.  After I scrubbed
down the kitchen floor Boone wanted to cuddle on the bed so I ...
[ot] An Eyrie Event...09 Feb 2005 21:44 GMT3
off-topic, as there's no feline content, but we've discussed eyrie
events here before...
Last week one of my high school classmates died and his funeral was
today. I could not attend as I had my first stint at substitute

Nina the Velcro Kitten09 Feb 2005 18:26 GMT5
Nina has taken the opportunity to show me how much she missed me while I was
gone this weekend. I'm currently typing one handed while my purring little
girl has curled herself on my left arm, and is rubbing herself all over me,
purring like a maniac. =o) Or perhaps, she's trying to ...
Sibling Rivalry :o)09 Feb 2005 17:55 GMT4
Captain and Stanley get along wonderfully. "Inseparable" is not too strong
of a term. They stalk one another, chase each other, groom each other, and
use one another for pillows at nap time. Sometimes they cooperate when
attacking the fishing-pole toy, There's one that's got a long ...

Well worth a look if you have the bandwidth.  Oh, and turn your speakers

Huggy Boy09 Feb 2005 15:13 GMT28
My little Mimi (RB) demanded affection, on her own terms.  She loved
all kinds of pets and skritches-- the more vigorous the better-- but
you could not hold her, and she would never sit in a lap.  When she
grew older, she would allow me to cradle her in my arms-- actually it

My cats always like to lay on  the shelving we made to cover the tops
of our radiators in our house. I have always worried they would burn
themselves by getting up there that I wake upp at nights some times to
make sure no one is on the radiator.
The inspector Roadcat09 Feb 2005 08:07 GMT6
Another new behavior I've just been noticing for the last two or three
weeks - Harri must inspect everything poured into her bowls.
If I go to pour water into her water bowl or kibble into her food bowl,
she insists on inspecting it before I'm allowed to pour. If I manage to

I recently have been doing some teaching of Bachelor stuents at a local
university. I enjoy the teaching, but *HATE* with a passion the marking
of asignments and exam papers. I'm currently in the middle of a 70 job
lot as the students have had their end of semester exams. It's a
OT - Question for the Aussies09 Feb 2005 04:16 GMT12
Ok, this is probably really silly, but I need to know the dimensions
of a king size mattress in Australia.  I always thought a king is a
king and a queen is a queen, but it turns out that there's a US king
which is different than a king here in Thailand.  So I was wondering

So, I think I've resigned myself to the likelihood that Oscar will be upset by
other cats.  Frankly, she's happy now and I don't want to push my luck.
But then, I've always been more of a dog person anyway ... and Oscar has
cohabited with two dogs before, neither of which caused her ...
Ping: Captian and Stanley08 Feb 2005 17:55 GMT1
Dear Captian and Stanley,
I was very happy to hear dat you got the greeblings living in the
stereo. Meowmie finally let me get the greeblings out of her purse, do
you know dat those greeblings had wrapped themselves in da paper?
Ack! What do I do now that I caught her!08 Feb 2005 17:27 GMT5
OK, this was the funniest thing. I had to play "stern mama" but I could
barely contain myself and as empathetic as cats are, in the end it probably
didn't do a lot of good.
Pearl was feeling VERY frisky tonight. She decided to target Sugar for some
