| "Needy" kittens | 15 Feb 2005 20:34 GMT | 5 |
I was just playing string games with my Russian Blue female, Natasha. She has the sweetest face of any cat I've ever seen (all right, it's obvious I'm prejudiced). I mentioned to DH that someone had written about a kitten keeping them awake all night and that they eventually

OK, in Sammy's defense she doesn't ever see me take a bath. I have a huge shower stall in my bathroom downstairs but no bathtub. Whenever I take a shower Sammy waits patiently on the rug under the toilet until I'm finished acting insanely and come out to dry off and pay attention ...

| purrs for Grant | 15 Feb 2005 18:55 GMT | 32 |
I don't think this is really serious. He is not throwing up a lot, but has thrown up about three four times in the last 5 days. Always when his stomach is almost or completely empty. One time there was a small hairball. Then once at night (late) and it seemed kind of dark to me, but ...

| How I got Oscar | 15 Feb 2005 18:34 GMT | 4 |
Several years ago, I moved out of my parents' house and into my first apartment. My parents were also moving, and I won the custody battle for my dog, Puma (RB), a sweet black lab mix. He'd spent all his life with a large yard and plenty of visits from everyone in the neighborhood ...

| A d*g with a use | 15 Feb 2005 13:41 GMT | 4 |
Waffles here. In the local mewspaper, there's an article about a d*g who saved the life of a cat. Shows there's one d*g with a use, anyway. http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/News/story ...

| Gung Hay Fat Choy! | 15 Feb 2005 01:18 GMT | 36 |
In case you don't know what that means, "Gung Hay Fat Choy" means, "Happy Chinese New Year!" I don't know if anyone else here is Chinese, but I'm 4th generation Cantonese. My family has been here since the early 1900s.

| Jake and the Roof | 15 Feb 2005 00:40 GMT | 1 |
I've mentioned our problems with Jake and the Roof before. He used to use the plum tree to get on and off the roof, and started getting stuck up there after we pruned the tree. I've come to realize he is doing it on purpose. He only gets "stuck" on the

| ----My Travel Has Been Delayed---- | 14 Feb 2005 22:51 GMT | 4 |
I meant to be out on the road a week ago but haven't managed to leave yet. The catsitters finally arrived on Thursday afternoon and then decided not to stay. Turns out the woman is allergic to mildew, which lives in some of the walls here, and found that she could not breathe well ...

| Pepper Update (AKA Vet Tech Journals) | 14 Feb 2005 22:04 GMT | 9 |
Pepper went home today. He's much better and his tail was wagging. Of course he was walking a little funny, but that's to be expected when you get impaled on a fence between your back legs. The fence he tried to jump was 3 feet high apparently. The abdominal

| John's Cat Kidder | 14 Feb 2005 20:01 GMT | 7 |
John's cat, Kidder, is a *big* fluffy orange cat along the size of a grown Maine Coon. Yesterday he was in the bathroom and Kidder was attempting a tight-rope walk along the towel bar. He slipped. John looked up and all he could see was two paws and this big orange head sticking ...

| It's a Hit! | 14 Feb 2005 19:04 GMT | 3 |
My brother knows me WAY too well. For my birthday, he sent me a laser cat toy that has put Francesca and Nina into a state of advanced kitty bliss. Nina would chase that little red spot of light until her paws fell off. =o)It's really funny to

| Symmetrical cats and other photos | 14 Feb 2005 14:37 GMT | 8 |
I've finally put a few of the symmetrical cat photos together in one album. I moved a couple of them from an old album so some of you might remember them. The album is located at: http://community.webshots.com/album/272461144thSgkb There should be 7 shots
