The Hillbilly at Petco16 Feb 2005 11:28 GMT71
So, I'm at Petco, just picking up a cartful of cat food, when a guy
stops suddenly and says "you look like a cat person!"
That obvious, huh?
And he proceeds to question me about whether a Siamese cat would be a
Wondering about Science Diet and similar16 Feb 2005 11:08 GMT10
Well it's taken only six weeks for Sesame to start turning her nose up at
the Science Diet senior! The vet office and also a store called City Farmers
which stock pet supplies seem only to have the senior wet food in one
flavour... I think a bit of variety is what would keep her ...
Champ (RB)16 Feb 2005 10:44 GMT19
Champ is not a cat, but a dog. I would be grateful for some prayers for
his safe passage to Rainbow Bridge if that's possible?
His story is such and is long...
My moms best friend Linda spent a great deal of time with her husband
I'm Upset...What To Do?16 Feb 2005 06:37 GMT24
I've written before about my calico cat, Calico.  She was a wild young cat who
appeared in my yard in early 1997, and who would initially disappear over the
wall if she even saw me through the glass doors.  I started feeding her at
that time.  After she had three kittens in my ...
UPDATE:  Our family could use purrs16 Feb 2005 04:54 GMT13
I can't thank you all enough for all your support and purrs; your messages
were the only bright spot in these past few days and I did get to read them
before I went to bed.
My son has Aspergers, Tourettes, and OCD and is gifted, and it has been a
Testing talkaboutpets.com16 Feb 2005 04:26 GMT3
This is a test post. I'm having a problem seeing my posts come up on
talkaboutpets.com.
I'm also missing some of the original posts on some topics, even when the
responses are coming through just fine.
The new chair.........PLACE YOUR BETS!!!!16 Feb 2005 03:50 GMT23
My roommate and I have two big swivel desk chairs.  Well last year hers
broke so she's been using a chair from the kitchen
Well today she has brought in a new chair that used to belong to her
father.  It's brown and seems to be made of tweed.  It's an old office
I love my cat16 Feb 2005 03:04 GMT19
Just keep saying it. Over and over. Even when she breaks the "T" key
completely off your key board so that now all  you have is a little rubber
nubby. I'm hoping I can just buy another "T" and not have to get a whole new
keyboard. Gagh. Why did it have to be the t. Why not X or Z??
Ten years with Lennie16 Feb 2005 01:38 GMT9
This day marks ten years that I have had custody of Lennie, and his
twelfth birthday.
I have written here (rec.pets.cats.*) quite a bit about him, not
recently, but in the early days. Not too much has changed - he's still
New Kitty Update15 Feb 2005 22:58 GMT9
Hi y'all....
Just a quick update on my sis and  her new friend.  Seems the kitty's
name isn't Linksey, but Jinxy.  Anyhow, I called her this morning to
see how the first evening went and she sounded absolutely awful!!
Could you turn off the purring motor please?15 Feb 2005 21:53 GMT6
Mischief purring is really sweet and cuddly.  It tells me that she's
very happy.  It also makes me roll my eyes when she's on top of my
computer and is purring away.
Of course it tends to go for really loooooong periods of time.
Still more Vet Tech Journals15 Feb 2005 21:47 GMT14
I start the spring semester on Tuesday.  This semester is going to be
difficult.  We'll be focusing on surgery and pharmacology.  On top of
this I'll be practicing and competing with the college swim and dive
team.  Hope I'll be able to to keep on top of homework and stuff.
Angelmaine Pericles 23.11.98-5.02.05 RIP15 Feb 2005 21:12 GMT42
I'm sorry to report that the power of purr has failed on this occasion
:-(
Pericles had continued to go downhill since his tests on Thursday, not
taking much in (although he managed to force down some cod & salmon as
To my older cat...15 Feb 2005 20:56 GMT19
Looking into your eyes now, I don't see that sparkle of mischievousness that
used to make them glow with the joy of life and the exuberance of youth.
Instead there are spots there."Iris Pigmentation" the vet calls it, normal
for your age, something like liver spots in older ...

I visited the blue kittens today. Took the camera along; there are eight
