News About Holly17 Feb 2005 13:01 GMT8
From James, Holly's DH (who couldn't connect to talkaboutpets.com
thismorning):

I tried posting to the board this morning but could not make a connection
We need some "Oops - got hurt while wrestling" purrs :o(17 Feb 2005 11:43 GMT13
From the time I got home from work tonight, Captain and Stanley have been
chasing one another and wrestling. They wrestle gently, for the most part
(it looks like it's in slow motion, lol), but they've been going at it for
hours. Minus a few breaks to lie down, or to explore the ...
Grrrrrr.17 Feb 2005 10:59 GMT11
I got a call this afternoon. Thinking GREAT it's OVER. Instead, they didn't
tell me Grant needed to fast!! Poor guy sat there for 6 hours and nada. I'm
just frustrated. No harm done and all but it is so annoying and poor Grant
has to go back again tomorrow. Still the good news is ...
Waffles's new favourite food17 Feb 2005 10:08 GMT4
On my low-fat, healthy eating regime, one of the snacks I occasionally allow
myself are low-fat rice crackers (seaweed ones). Today I discovered why the
rice crackers in the open packet felt *moist*.
I discovered a certain one-eyed, black-furred ladycat with her head in the
Virus Update 17 Feb 2005 06:35 GMT1
Seldom I send out any messages like this. But my antivirus sent me two
pop up windows today, new virus found in the wild. I've only seen one
every week or so, until today. Time to run the virus protection update
today if you havn't already.
cat 'furniture' (Re: Mishiefs new chair)17 Feb 2005 02:57 GMT6
A few years ago, I (mistakenly) bought a white cloth sofa. A nice piece
of furniture. I spent MONTHS shopping for a sofa ... all over the
southern third of Florida, it felt, NOTHING made me go 'WOW, THAQT'S
IT'. Then one evening I walked into a Sears Homelife store and THERE IT
Paper bag17 Feb 2005 00:30 GMT6
It was a small bag, about the size of a lunch bag.  I crumpled it up into a
tight ball and put it in the trash can.  As I was taking the trash bag out
of the can, this little ball of paper fell on the floor.  Oh well... you
know what happened next!  That little ball of paper is ...
[OT] Valentine's Present17 Feb 2005 00:25 GMT12
DH and I are at the age where we give each other token gifts that are either
cute or funny (remember the stuffed d*g that sang "I'm Just a Love Machine"
that I gave him for Christmas??!!!).
Well, yesterday he gave me this cute little musicbox/fountain - Papa Bear

No, I haven't lost it, well not too much anyway.
Cali has taken to using Morse Code to get fed in the morning. The metal
threshold between the bedroom and the hallway is slightly loose and makes an
annoying noise if you move it just right. Now Cali has bumped this thing
PING - Victor16 Feb 2005 19:28 GMT3
More news on the gay penguins. It seems sense has prevailed, sort of :-)

Dew Drop In16 Feb 2005 19:22 GMT22
If you get binary newsgroups, follow the subject line's advice and
drop in to see the pictures and read the stories of Sigourney and
Furocious, and also that of Crash.  The pictures and stories are just
wonderful, and naturally I extended an invitation to come and join us.
Cosmo is going downhill :-(16 Feb 2005 18:01 GMT32
I just got back from the vet with Cosmo.  He had had some ear
problems, and was seeming not in the best shape in general - a little
dehydrated, losing weight, and just not doing as well as I would like
to see.  He was diagnosed five years ago this May with CRF and a heart
Gmail16 Feb 2005 17:00 GMT3
Google seems to like me - I have several dozen "invitations"; would anyone
like to try it out? I'm finding it usable, if not fancy. And of course it
helps that it's free...
Also, I don't know why, but since starting it, I've not gotten even 1 spam
Cold weather madness16 Feb 2005 13:56 GMT11
The last couple of days have been cold (for my bit of the world) with a
bitingly cold, damp wind which makes it feel colder than it really is and
gets a body cold quickly and there's been rain, sleet & snow. As a result,
the cats have not been keen to go out in the garden at all. ...
Here We Go Again16 Feb 2005 13:15 GMT28
Sigh.  What is wrong with people?
I get a call last night from a friend.  Someone has dumped, in a box
(with the lid folded over, so at least I suppose there was *some* air
available) two kittens on his daughter and her husband's property.
