| Sonya is still pregnant | 25 Jan 2005 03:55 GMT | 6 |
I never understood the cliché about the husband pacing the floor waiting for the mum to get serious about giving birth. Until now. Mandy says that Sonya stayed under the bed and purred all night long. She came out on occasion to eat her kitten food, get a sip of water, and

| Attitude Check!!! | 25 Jan 2005 03:38 GMT | 22 |
If I were to yell this in a group of military, the answer would be to scream back "F*ck You!" However, I'm hoping to get updates on you, your family (furry and bare) and how life is going. We're all doing well. Calvin came up on the bed early this morning and

| Sonya still expecting | 25 Jan 2005 02:10 GMT | 5 |
Sonya hasn't done it yet, but we're still in early days. She's settling in and is showing her sense of humor by waiting for Amanda to walk by the bed, or sit on the bed with her feet on the floor. Sonya then slaps the back of her feet, and ducks back under the bed. She has ...

| Purrs for a foundling kitty | 25 Jan 2005 01:19 GMT | 20 |
I ran into Marilyn, Brandy's foster-mama, at the store where she works. She has a new fosterling, a longhaired tuxie who was shot full of BB's by some bucket of filth. They have hit nothing vital, just lodged in some muscles, and the BB's will be removed tomorrow when she goes in ...

| It's here!!! (not really OT) | 25 Jan 2005 00:28 GMT | 10 |
Well, our Threadclimber 5000 arrived yesterday! We spent about a couple of hours assembling it and we both put in a 30 min workout on it. It's different from any other exercise machine I've tried, but it does seem to be a good workout. It comes with a hear rate sensor and I was ...

| OT healing purrs, please | 24 Jan 2005 20:18 GMT | 28 |
A co-worker's wife is seriously ill, in the hospital with an infection in her spine. According to a phone message, she has undergone surgery to 12 of her vertebrae and has antibiotic dripping into her spine. One doctor says she should be fine, but the neurologist said she may ...

| Meet Sonya | 24 Jan 2005 20:18 GMT | 26 |
Rob wasn't too pleased, but I told him that the power of the purr is bigger than he is. We picked up Sonya about an hour and a half ago. Sonya is a gray and white tuxedo and ready to give birth at any moment. Rob said that he'd rather not deal with a pregnant mum, but we are ...

We got over 2ft of snow last night plus drifting. The weather people are calling it a wintercane (hurricane with snow) Baha might be able to donate a "bit" of snow too. Suz

| Bonnie - the PP | 24 Jan 2005 14:41 GMT | 2 |
She's still at it even though we cover the sink with an oven slide with a tin-foil tray at the end so that she can't sniff water through the edges. It is all liberally spread with cat repellent. The thing is you have to use the sink!!! Eventually someone leaves off the cover and

| Arthur's First Hit | 24 Jan 2005 14:37 GMT | 5 |
Well, I recovered a sort of kitty condo thing from the trash about a year and a half ago. We put it in the basement (just for a few months, mind you) to make sure there were no nasty germs or whatever on it. It needed two poles recovered in carpet, and was missing the

| David Yehudah Award | 24 Jan 2005 05:10 GMT | 15 |
I have a suggestion for this. Instead of having a competition which always divides people into one winner and a heap of losers and sometimes results in hurt feelings by people feeling their stories were left out, why not have a readathon of all David's stories and nominate the ...

| Sleep and Other Purrs Needed (long) | 24 Jan 2005 03:33 GMT | 100 |
Please allow me a little venting and a few more purr requests. I am having one heck of a time sleeping. I've always had occasional bouts of insomnia and usually when I sense something like this coming on I'll take a valerian root capsule about 30 minutes before bedtime. It works
