I've been off-line because Hewlett-Packard (I just KNEW I shoulda bought a
Chevy, not a Packard!) put out a BIOS update that blew out my motherboard.

BW: In honor of Dave Yehudah26 Jan 2005 00:28 GMT23
A tour bus driver drives with a bus full of seniors down a highway,
when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady.  She offers him a
handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up.
After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she
Digitall Camera Update26 Jan 2005 00:14 GMT14
I've successfully charged the battery, inserted the card and taken my
first picture.  Ted (of Ollie fame) was here and I have one of him
clutching FSP, who as usual looks suitably cross.
My memory card is 256 mb whatever that means.   Am not sure how many
A couple of "movies"26 Jan 2005 00:10 GMT16
First, apologies if you wanted to see these but can't view Quicktime
movie format. Its the only way my digital camera saves videos.
These videos show the kittens chasing the red dot. The first one
doesn't have anything special, but Shamrock looking at the camera in
good job news25 Jan 2005 23:14 GMT31
For almost a year now, I have been working just part-time, with my
income less than my expenses.  I drew unemployment payments for
several months, but this eventually ran out and I had to survive on
money from a home-equity loan.  I have finally found a new full-time
cat plays with snow25 Jan 2005 21:04 GMT19
Check out the "off beat gallery" on cnn.com http://www.cnn.com/US/. There is
a cat playing (batting) snow around. It is so cute. I see there are also a
LOT of cats being rescued off Phi Phi island in Thailand now. Tons of
pictures at Yahoo news.
Human purrs again, please25 Jan 2005 19:54 GMT39
You might recall that about a year ago I posted about my Mom needing
purrs for her breast cancer surgery. She did quite well - they removed
the cancerous lump and one lymph node, and recovered from surgery quite
nicely. Did radiation and chemo, without the extreme nausea problems ...
Piine Cone vs The D-Thing25 Jan 2005 19:36 GMT10
Since Speedy (the d-thing) joined our house in November, Pine Cone has
been one disgruntled cat.  His girl, aka the blonde wench, has added a
huge smelly, butt sniffing, woofing, cat food eating, greebling
spawning, monster into his comfortable existence.  Needless to say, the
Not using the litter box is funny in ways25 Jan 2005 18:12 GMT10
We have this problem with at least one of the cats occasionally
not using the litter box.  We don't know which one, but one
of them at least once a week decides to do his/her business
in the laundry room.
Real TV Tabby25 Jan 2005 15:43 GMT1
Did any of you see the old video of a british tabby that liked to lay on the
ping pong net while his owners played. He would lay there and occassioally
reach up and bap the ball while it was going by. Or get bapped. Just layed
there. It was very funny. The owner said he usually ...
Ping: Dan Mahoney25 Jan 2005 14:43 GMT1
I tried to reply to your e-mail, and that address bounced. I did
forward to DH, who's currently available [I'm booked through at least
May on my current assignment].
Captain and Stanley tour the first floor25 Jan 2005 14:35 GMT6
My MO, when I bring cats into a new home for the first time, is to set
everything up in one room for the first few days and let them get used to
that. Once they've made that room (usually the basement) into their safe
haven, THEN I introduce them to the rest of the house.
2 new kitties for my brother25 Jan 2005 12:12 GMT8
My brother's Meezer kitty Samantha has been gone for several months now,
and Pat and Maggie the Springer have both been missing her. But it
appears that the Mothership has sent them some relief.
For the last couple of weeks a couple of kitties, a momcat and one of
Please Purr for Puppy25 Jan 2005 10:23 GMT20
On the way home from running errands earlier, I saw a puppy running
loose on the street.  He looked around six months old, a grey pit bull
with big feet, blue eyes, and a smiley face-- altogether a delightful
little fellow.  He was wearing a collar that was a little tight, and
Training for Therapy Cats?25 Jan 2005 04:09 GMT14
OK, I have a question, and I think this is probably the best place to ask
it.
I just posted a little while ago about the two cats that I'm in the
process of adopting from the local shelter.
