Phoenix is back!26 Jan 2005 17:32 GMT5
Phoenix is back from the vets after getting snipped and chipped! He is fine
but drunk. Headed straight for his food bowl, so must be feeling reasonably
ok. Having difficulty keeping him apart from Memphis, who wants to play!
The trouble is, memphis just doesn't realise his own ...
Anti-sneeze/cough purrs, please?26 Jan 2005 16:21 GMT26
Captain and Stanley are settling in fabulously. But there's one problem.
Captain is sneezing and Stanley is coughing.
I suspect it's some sort of kennel cough from being in the shelter. (A few
of the kitties in there had the sneezies.) They're eating, drinking, and
First TED visit for the boys26 Jan 2005 15:38 GMT13
Captain and Stanley know what cat carriers are. And they got an "Oh, no,
not again" expression on their faces when they were coaxed inside. I think
in their experience, going into a carrier means coming out somewhere
unknown and never seeing the previous place again. (They're ...

My friend, Jill, has already sort-of introduced me to you folks.  I wish I
could have seen her post!  My news server is about 28 hours behind right now
and it's really frustrating.
Anyway, I'm a newlywed transplanted from Maui, Hawaii to the Tampa Bay area

We went away this weekend, leaving our sons cat sitting. All was well, but
the cats nust have misssed us, memphis has been particularly cuddly today.

My news server is still 30 hours behind so I'm having difficulty following
threads.  Thanks to all for the suggestions for the free news server.
Meanwhile, I've added a page to my site, it's got some cuddly kitten pix.

I DID IT!!! [OT]26 Jan 2005 09:43 GMT8
Yoga pose - I stood with my legs spread wide apart, lowered my head until my
elbows were resting on the floor, and then continued to lower until the top
of my head was resting on the floor.  It's getting easier to bend now, so I
have hope that someday I'll maybe be able to bend to a ...
Book Review26 Jan 2005 05:15 GMT3
Ok, kids, I found a mystery series that reminds me of some of the
offbeat personalities and are in this group and some of them that we
have posted about.
Donna Andrews has two series out.  I'm not fond of her cyber-linked
Slill hasn't happened26 Jan 2005 03:30 GMT1
Yes, Sonya is still pregnant.  However, the kids tell me that today, she
would come out from under the bed, check out the blankets and quilt on
the bed and then whisk herself back under the bed whenever some stuck
their nose in the room.  Personally, I suspect that she's deciding ...
Yikes! And Purrs for the Unknown26 Jan 2005 02:43 GMT1
I heard sirens and screeching tires.  Went to the kitchen and saw flashing
lights through the window shade on the front door.  Stepped outside; there
is an ambulance and a couple of police cars several apartments down the way.
I don't know what's going on but hopefully no one is ...
