Eros was adopted!!!!03 Jan 2005 05:00 GMT34
I noticed today that Eros wasn't on the shelter's website anymore, so I
called.  Sure enough, he was adopted on the 26th!
I am feeling so many things right now.  Sheer joy that he found a home.  Fear
that his new family could turn out to be awful.  Sorrow that I won't ever see
Bubbel Shoulder03 Jan 2005 04:57 GMT14
My shoulder is sore.
I went tot he physio to try to have it fixed. He said it was a relatively
common problem that people who start computing discover. It occurs in the
arm that they use the mouse with.
Anyone using a Weazel Ball?03 Jan 2005 02:06 GMT79
Anyone using a Weazel Ball?
A Weazel Ball is a baseball size motorized ball which travels across
the floor powered by a AA battery. It comes with a tail but I removed
that. My 14 1/2 pound cat seems to like it, as usual acting shy at
Poor finger03 Jan 2005 00:21 GMT13
It must me a few weeks ago now that I told you I asked my friend to help me
clip Kitty FC's claw since she didn't seem to be able to retract them when
she perched on me and this was exstremely. ouchie.
I also needed her to come to help me trim the spurs of a very old cockerel
Bad Mommy02 Jan 2005 23:45 GMT21
She is putting her clothes-things in that bag-thing now.  She thinks
just because I am full of treats an catnip I will take this lying
down.  Just wait.  I'll teach her to pull a fast one on me again.
Love, Stinky
Urgent purrs please02 Jan 2005 21:19 GMT101
I've just rescued a gorgeous little black kitten from work.
S/he's very friendly, and extremely thirsty and hungry. No fleas so far.
My best guess is that s/he is 6 weeks old.
I don't know whether Joel and/or Shmogg will allow us to have another kitty,
[OT] Great Read02 Jan 2005 20:41 GMT4
OK, I don't usually read fantasy, but I love Tanya Huff (she wrote two great
books about a female master sergeant in the space marine corps - VALOR'S
CHOICE and THE BETTER PART OF VALOR (and hey, does anyone know if she came
out with any more in that series??)).  So, I picked up and ...
And we're off!02 Jan 2005 19:40 GMT7
2005 is now here in Sacramento, to the accompaniment of MUCH rain,
thunder, and fireworks [HOW anyone's getting fireworks to work in this
downpour, I have no clue].
Prayers, purrs, coos, etc., for 2005 to be MUCH better than 2004 was.
Tip Resistant trashcan prototype 02 Jan 2005 18:50 GMT3
Am building a prototype trash can which will be less likely to tip over.
Should have the prototype built tomorrow AM, and will be possibly taking
photos, which will be developed (retro tech, using film) in a week or two.
Any catslaves need a tip resistant kitchen trash can?

Apology and and Explanation02 Jan 2005 15:44 GMT8
I'm really sorry for the political rant and any arguments I may have started
on this group.  I really wish I could go back a day and *not* send the
things I did.
OK, I over-reacted, but I would like to try to explain why.
Mozart goes shopping tomorrow02 Jan 2005 13:02 GMT9
Yup, we took Mozart back to the Haven today, so that he can go to
PetSmart tomorrow to shop for his only home.  In return, we brought
Calvin back.  He's currently resting comfortably in Mandy's room and
she's trying to find excuses for him to stay there permanently.
Happy New Year from England02 Jan 2005 09:44 GMT3
To everyone on the group.
Happy, healthy and prosperous 2005.
I'm a bit late (it's nearly 2 a.m.) but I was next door at a party.  (hic)
I had wine and rum and whisky (hic)
Sorry, I've been goine all day02 Jan 2005 09:25 GMT5
I've been taking down the Christmas tree (yes, in a few days there'll be a
"Taking Down the Tree With Mommy" story!  SIGH.  This time she had help -
Jessie got into the spirit of things!
Hugs,
What a wacky boy I've got02 Jan 2005 02:58 GMT13
Scarlett caught me off guard, so she's in heat before I could get her
spayed (she's getting done Tuesday, as long as she stays well). So,
she's bugging Shamrock to pieces. In this pic, she was rubbing
against him and he jumped straight up in the air to get away from
