Cat Nip in the Morning........06 Jan 2005 19:18 GMT1
I was up all night.........which meant I was still asleep at 10 am this
morning.  Evidently Chessie decided enough was enough and nipped at my arm
with her teeny-tiny nibblers which woke me immediately!  I laid there with
my eyes shut, trying not to laugh, but she kept nipping ...
Sam's TED visit06 Jan 2005 19:13 GMT6
With my new hours I'm not able to keep up with the group as well, but
just wanted to post about Sammy's (good) TED visit today. Also,
sending purrs and good vibes to any who need them.
Sammy went in for her first quarterly TED visit since the scare she

Wah - another RB request for Dexter06 Jan 2005 18:15 GMT17
Ya'll -- I just cannot believe I have yet another sad tale to report -- if
you will remember I requesting purrs for my other good friend, Kristin, and
her big black sweetheart kitty, Dexter, regarding his lymph node biopsy --
this was probably about 2 weeks ago.  It did turn out ...
Kitty snatching going as planned....06 Jan 2005 17:38 GMT10
I fed the kitty for three days in a row.  One feeding was last night at
about 7pm, and it was in empty bowl this morning.
She was in the barn today when I called in the horses, and then she followed
me outside.  She can't get too close to the house because the dogs (in their
Homeless with pets06 Jan 2005 17:34 GMT38
When I was downtown today, I saw something pretty unusual - a homeless
panhandler with pets.
I actually have a great deal of respect for panhandlers, because they
make their living standing at street corners every day, a more
RB purrs for my friend's cat06 Jan 2005 15:36 GMT24
A long-time friend of mine, Chris, just lost her beloved 14-year-old kitty,
Miss Bailey, on New Year's Eve;  it's been very hard for her because many of
her friends and family just don't get how deeply important such a loss of a
furfriend is.  I told her about the Rainbow Bridge ...
Leicestershire dog rescue teams in Phang Nga06 Jan 2005 14:31 GMT8
I just hear news on TV that our local firefighters have returned after using
our search and rescue dogs in this area.
The main thing the dogs were able to do was scan ruined buildings so they
can be cleared safely and the bodies in there can be got out if they find
PING Christine Burel06 Jan 2005 14:20 GMT5
Have there been any updates on Dexter that I might have missed? I'm
interested in knowing how his lymph node biopsy turned out.

eeewwww, it tickles06 Jan 2005 04:11 GMT15
I have a cute little nose shoved into my ear, a nose that  belongs to one
maine coon boy. He purrs so loud, his whole body vibrates so naturally the
nose is doing a pretty good impression of a buzzing bug in the ear.

Clyde the leather marauder06 Jan 2005 02:57 GMT3
A long time ago, when I was living in Soho, a district of NYC's
Manhattan, I shared a loft with some friends and Clyde, a cat with a
leather hang-up.  He was a sociable cat, and a good pet in many ways,
but if you had a pair of shoes or boots made of leather, you had to
Another wonderful store cat06 Jan 2005 01:01 GMT10
This afternoon for no reason at all I went into the AllPet & Equine store in
West Plains and was just ambling around. By and by I wandered down the aisle
with the cat beds, and there on the end of the row, on a shelf at eye level,
was an occupied cat bed. A beautiful silver tabby ...
False alarm door bell05 Jan 2005 21:32 GMT29
My wife's cats are an almost coal balck male, Inky, and a white and tan
female, Patches. We have a chiming door bell that rings many different
tunes, according to the season. When it rings they head for the front door,
thinking it might be our neighbor that feeds and waters them ...
purr requests for a dog who may be RB05 Jan 2005 21:11 GMT12
I met a lady at the martial arts studio I've been attending.  She cleans the
studio in exchange for lessons for herself and her family.  Anyway, before the
holidays, we'd talked about her son's new cat and I gave her some cat-related
suggestions.
