Mini me?09 Jan 2005 22:31 GMT5
Joe Kitty chose my husband as his human.
That's that, no matter how the DH denies it.
Joe greets him at the door, follows him around like a puppy, and jumps into
his lap every time DH dares to sit still.
Do your cats perform bathroom escort duties too?09 Jan 2005 22:06 GMT37
Scout and Silver take it in turns to escort us to the bathroom. If you
close the door to keep them out they lie on the other side and poke
their paws through underneath... they REALLY want to be in there, so
they can walk in circles around you, rub against your legs, demand
Rainy Day -- Snuggy Cats09 Jan 2005 21:15 GMT3
The weather has been terrible here in LA.  No snow except up in the
mountains, buy it has rained off and on for weeks.  All the cats and
DH have needed extra snugs.  Fortunately, I'm just a big teddy bear
and able to supply all the extra attention that everybody needs.
Bathroom Accompaniment on the Flip Side09 Jan 2005 18:54 GMT6
Persia's litter box is in the hall outside my "second" bathroom, which is
the one closest to the room I'm typing in.  When I use that particular
bathroom she seems to find it necessary to at least attempt to use her
litterbox while I'm on the throne.  It's like syncrhonized pottying ...
Wanted: Crazy cat09 Jan 2005 18:21 GMT8

too tired to help you, but dat you did want to exchange emails with me.  I

annoying squawky Ping-thing (though he does have ...
Nomar Katz09 Jan 2005 11:10 GMT24
I've been a lurker for a couple of years, learning a great deal from
the great folks here.
I'd thought I'd share you a bittersweet experience I had.  2004 was a
difficult year for cats for me.  Last January I lost my cat, Oliver, to
Teddy Flatmouse kidnapped by pirates!09 Jan 2005 09:29 GMT3
I have a funny way of describing a lost cat toy. Although "Teddy
Flatmouse" is probably lost beneath the sofa or under a bookshelf, when
my cat "RJ" goes looking and can't find the toy, the excuse RJ uses is
that Teddy Flatmouse was "kidnapped by pirates". And often Teddy will
Scatching board inquiry09 Jan 2005 06:26 GMT4
I am looking for a site that sells those hanging sisal covered scratching
boards but that has fleece on either end. Pearl has worn hers clear out and
I only see them with plastic on the ends now, but I would like to find the
old kind with the fleece on the ends. If anyone has seen ...
Abelard chewed on me09 Jan 2005 06:23 GMT1
He'd been begging for attention all evening so finally I picked him up and
was holding him close to me at shoulder level, then I started scritching his
back. Now I've noticed as a lot of you probably also have that when you
scritch a cat's back they will start trying to groom you - ...
Ping: Mischief09 Jan 2005 02:34 GMT7
Pam S. replied to a post about shop cats which got me thinking about
something.  As a vet tech, you should be able to answer my question.
Where do vets get blood for pets who need surgery?  She indicated a couple
of vet "shop" cats donate blood as needed.  I don't think I've ever ...
Still getting cards!09 Jan 2005 02:23 GMT2
Yesterday we were still getting a few cards, I can't believe it! Many
thanks to you all. Christmas was a bugger for us this year, and our
financial situation was not the best. You all made it a little better. I
just feel badly because we were choked by unexpected medical bills and
LitterMaid LM900 reliability Question09 Jan 2005 02:22 GMT4
I've been thinking about getting one now that I have 2 cats.
However both Kage (4) & Thai-ger (.5) like electronic toys and I'm afraid
that they will think this is one and somehow break it.
I've looked on Ebay and see a lot of broken, parted out and refurbished
Sam on my lap08 Jan 2005 21:49 GMT7
When I'm on the computer I pull another chair up to the one I'm using for
Sam to sit on. I feel a paw on my leg and then another one. Sam just climbed
onto my lap and layed down. This is the first time he had done this.
He just climbed up again and is helping me type. I'm a happy ...
