UPDATE: Oscar11 Jan 2005 17:46 GMT22
Oscar's regular vet is at a conference, so we saw another vet, who seems to be
the "senior" guy in the office.  Oscar didn't hiss or growl; she just shivered
like crazy.  She didn't even make a sound when he took her temp.
Anyway, long story short, he thinks it's something called an ...
Crafts and cats11 Jan 2005 17:39 GMT10
Do you do any kind of crafts? How do you manage it with cats in the
house? Scout and Silver don't like me doing anything crafty at all...
or rather, they like to altogether too much. I tried making christmas
decorations, and they jumped on the wet glitterglue and got it all
Please purr for Tiffy.11 Jan 2005 16:41 GMT48
Tiffy is ill again. She got groomed last friday, and she was alright on
saturday, sunday, and monday. But on tuesday she started hibernating. She
has not eaten for three days now, since tuesday. I have tried tempting her
with all kinds of yummy foods but she is not interested.
Scaredy Cat11 Jan 2005 16:34 GMT23
Vino is usually so nonchalant.  Not scared of strangers who come to
the house, not scared of thunderstorms or fireworks.  Not scared of
the vacuum cleaner.
But sometimes something happens that makes me wonder if deep down he
Nox had a nightmare11 Jan 2005 16:09 GMT2
(I haven't been able to get on much due to computer issues, so purrs
for Bridget and her dad and all others who need them)
This morning NOcturne had a nightmare.  She started to pip in her
sleep like a kitten crying for its mom.  I bunted her and then nuzzled
Bobcat and goose11 Jan 2005 14:59 GMT8
They had some video on the news tonight. Someone had set up a camera on a
smallish pool. I couldn't tell if it was a water tank or what really (had
the sound down talking to mom on the phone, so no real details) they were
in. But two geese are swimming in this pool and a BOBCAT ...

it's not sideways? I couldn't figue it out.
Typical Evening11 Jan 2005 13:49 GMT1
Well we finally got the grandsons packed off home and getting the house
picked up and tucked in for the evening.
Charlie says "have you seen Jake?"
Answer "not since the boys left"

Calling all cat (and other) card-makers OT!11 Jan 2005 09:39 GMT10
I have been sternly admonished by my long lost love, John, not to spend
money on a card for him for Valentine's day.  So I said, "Okay, okay!  I can
make one on my computer, is that okay?"  Yes, that's fine.
Except... I really can't.  Don't ask me how I made those email cards I sent
Bonnie, the feral (baby steps)11 Jan 2005 09:29 GMT9
Bonnie, who was feral 2 years ago at this time as a tiny kitten (I
didn't meet her until May of 2003 when she was 5-6 months old)
still to this day won't let me pick her up. That's fine, we can
live with that. She's come a long way since then, and loves to be
What tricks can your cat do? Mine gives real kisses!11 Jan 2005 09:22 GMT5
I started Phil learning this trick when he was about 4 months old.  Didn't
take him but a couple days to get it down pat.  I usually reserve asking
for kisses when I have some chicken handy.  He will do it even when I
don't have any out but I always reward him right away with ...
Bedmaking with cats11 Jan 2005 09:02 GMT6
Scout and Silver (especially Silver) have decided that it's their duty
to perform proper bed inspections every morning, and that they have to
help me change the sheets... a few weeks ago I got the camera out and
recorded proceedings. Here they are in all their cuteness, in my
Calvin Slept on our bed for a while!11 Jan 2005 07:46 GMT10
Calvin, our foster kitty, actually is starting to warm up.  He
discovered the cat flap and loves visiting the out, but he has also
discovered the best sleeping places in the house.  He's currently
perched on the highboy mewing at me.
It's impossible11 Jan 2005 04:38 GMT14
Dear group
Now that I went back to work, it's totally impossible to keep up with you
all.  I am out of the house from early morning until late, and the amount of
posts on rpca could make me weep because I can't reply.
