OT. Colorado people could  help here13 Jan 2005 14:06 GMT13
Could anyone living in Colarado tell me how cold your weather has been
(minimum temp) up to now this winter.
The reason I ask is that there is a the start of a flame war on my chicken
group.  Person from Colorado posts to say she has lost chickens.  Person

This morning, I found Oscar sprawled out, belly on display, on her fuzzy cat
bed.  Now, I know that Oscar's belly is purely used as a lure for the unwary,
but I couldn't help myself.  I reached out and gently skritched her belly a
few times before coming to my senses and withdrawing ...
(OT) Water, water everywhere . . . .13 Jan 2005 04:28 GMT16
I guess I should have figured with the flood next door that it would
be our turn next.
Sigh.
Last night, I went into my closet to get a clean outfit -- only to

Apologies and purr request13 Jan 2005 00:15 GMT34
Well, now it's happened to me, too. I simply don't have time to read
everything on rpca, nor to post. I'm very sorry to have to do this, but
I'll have to send blanket purrs, meatloaf meditations and dirty
litterbox offerings to be distributed as needed. I have loads of work,

OT Extraordinary Wolf pics12 Jan 2005 21:23 GMT12
These pics are from a rehab and sanctuary for wolves in Indiana-- one
of their wolves suffered a spinal injury, and needed extensive therapy
to recover from paralysis.  These are pics of one of his physical
therapy sessions.  Look at that magnificent animal.  Doesn't he just
A *weird* cat dream12 Jan 2005 21:13 GMT18
I've had unusual dreams before, but one I had a couple of weeks ago
really takes the prize. It was weird enough that I still remember it
clearly.
In the dream Nancy and I were sitting on our back patio (at a house MUCH
Kitty Heimlich12 Jan 2005 19:37 GMT32
I was on the couch reading and snacking on some melba toast rounds.  I
wasn't paying attention; Persia knocked one out of my hand and ran off with
it.  She took a bite and started chewing on the piece.  Unfortunately, she
tried to swallow it before she chewed it up.  She started ...

recently that in Japan, the second of February is considered "Cats'
Day." He'd read somewhere that it stems from a pun on the Japanese ...
The new toy12 Jan 2005 15:19 GMT7
Today I stopped in PetSmart to get some catfood. As i stood in line, I
noticed a hanging rack with a new kind of laser pointer. I had tried

different; smaller, but brighter and it had another end-piece to make
