Soon to be a Meowmie again (TW and KFW)17 Jan 2005 11:59 GMT15
Hi, everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted here on a regular basis. Most of the
time I've been posting in fits and starts, during the past few years.
But now I'm here to share some sad and happy news.
AHHH! Get it off me!17 Jan 2005 11:29 GMT7
The other day, I was sitting in my recliner, watching TV or reading
usenet or both, when this racket started up.  Sounded like something
being knocked off a counter.  But it didn't quit like that would have,
and I couldn't identify the noise, and it was getting louder.  I got
My appt with my allergist17 Jan 2005 06:26 GMT17
I just had my annual appt with my allergist.  I have asthma and I've
been suffering from the sniffles and slight cough.
He took a swab from my nose and came back later saying that I had a
slight sinus infection.  I'm not too surprised.
Vet Tech Journals17 Jan 2005 05:29 GMT7
I think this is entry 22 or 23, it's hard to keep track.
I got reminded on just how big Maine Coon kitties are.
Moose is back and he's a good 17 pounds.  He acts all sweet and
innocent with that cute little meow of his, but when I took him out to
Suddenly I'm Miss Unpopularity17 Jan 2005 05:21 GMT10
Harumph.... First, Meowmie takes me to TED early yesterday morning without
giving me any brekfust first, and wouldn't listen to me when I told her I
REALLY wanted to go straight back home again. She didn't come back for me
until this morning. And in the meantimes, I had to spend the ...
Sammy and Bandit News17 Jan 2005 05:19 GMT16
Sammy went on an outing today with me to PetsMart.  I'm trying to get her
used to traveling with me and not just to TED.  She's not at all afraid (of
course, being Sammy).  She sits quietly next to me in the truck and
sometimes stands up to look out the side or rear window (amazing ...
Sam protects mommy17 Jan 2005 04:46 GMT4
Sam has decided that the newspapers on the floor pose a threat to me. He
will put his head into the pile of papers looking for the ones that need
killing. After finding the right ones he will bite them and then poke his
head between the sheets of paper to check his progress. After ...
I have recovered!!17 Jan 2005 01:28 GMT11
Hello everyone.  I have sorely missed you all.  As some of you
know, my mother passed away, and it very deeply affected me.
Thanks to all who gave their support.
But!!  I have recovered!!  Life goes on!!

Lovely Nap!16 Jan 2005 01:01 GMT1
I was on the couch, reading, this afternoon.  Decided to tuck an afghan
around my knees and take a brief nap.  Persia was on the arm of the couch
but when I got into nap position (legs curled, arms tucked under the pillow)
she crept down between my chest and the edge of the couch, ...

Purr for terrified wild critter?15 Jan 2005 19:53 GMT38
Since this morning a beautiful raccoon has been about 15' up in a tree near
the barn and won't come down due to Gloria's d*gs. She took them in the
house for several hours this afternoon to give the critter a chance to get
away but it was still cowering up there when the sun went ...
Issa goes HISSSSS!!!!15 Jan 2005 16:02 GMT11
I was on a conference call (I'm working from home today) and when I hung
up I turned around and shifted position on the chair, so I ended up
looking straight at Issa. He was sleeping on a bed near me, but he woke
up when I moved on the chair. He looked in my direction and hissed! ...
Persia Speaks15 Jan 2005 13:51 GMT14
I was on the phone a while ago with my LLL (long lost love, can this become
a regular acronym so I don't have to explain it?).  Persia decided she
wanted out in her kitty walk.  She started meowing, sweetly.  Well, it's 30F
outside and I told her so.  John, in the meantime, was ...
