Welcome home, Captain and Stanley!24 Jan 2005 03:08 GMT14
I'm a Meowmy again! :o)
Here are my two 9-month-old boys, Captain and Stanley. They are definitely
brothers -- I verified that at the shelter tonight.
Here's the photo album of their first pictures:
Isabella is doing the craziest thing.24 Jan 2005 01:29 GMT16
I have never seen a cat or any animal for that fact do this.
I was feeding the ladies when we got home from the vet with
Isabella.I did not let anyone eat this morning out of fairness
for Isabella and her vet appointment. So I was giving them there breakfast of dry crucnchies and ...
What the *$(#% was that?!?!?!?!24 Jan 2005 01:15 GMT5
We were watching a PBS show on snow leopards tonight, and all the cats
were hanging around in the living room with us. At some point in the
show, they were showing a female in heat, calling for a mate. The sounds
were very unusual and all the cats noticed. First Luna, just raised ...
Sam Update #223 Jan 2005 23:35 GMT32
I just got off the phone with the vet who initially treated Sam.  She
said that every time they tried to extend the time between Terbutaline
injections past 4 hours he suffers another episode and has to go back on
oxygen. She suggested that he stay another night with them where ...
Ambush on the stairs23 Jan 2005 22:58 GMT17
I've been breaking myself back into work gently.  I worked Monday & Tuesday
and had today off.  I was really looking forward to having a bit of a lie
in.
Normally the cats aren't allowed upstairs, but last night Boyfriend had got
Big'Ead..........It's The Only Sollution.23 Jan 2005 22:49 GMT16
Right as we were moving to the new house, a tall, skinny, brown and
black tabby tom with an enormous head (hence the name) with his right
eye permanently and partially closed from an old battle wound decided
he was going to live with us.
Links to David Yehudah's Stories23 Jan 2005 22:22 GMT6
As you probably already know, since 1998 I have collected most of David's
stories. Most of them are on my website:
http://www.flippyscatpage.com/davesview.html.
However, I have just put them together into a zipped file for Patty to
Did you know...23 Jan 2005 21:13 GMT14
A full metal teakettle is fairly heavy and will make a rather tremendous
crash if pushed off a counter.
A full metal teakettle placed on top of a pizza box to ensure the top stays
closed is absolutely no match for a cat that has decided that he MUST HAVE

Cold Weather Purrs23 Jan 2005 17:06 GMT6
I am haunted by the poor wandering puppy and his funny face.  I am
kicking myself for not just making a grab for him and hauling him
inside.  This weekend is going to be very bad for all the critters
outside-- we are expecting a big storm.
OT: Free Fax software?23 Jan 2005 15:07 GMT12
Anyone know of any free fax software?  I have a DSL connection, Alcatel
modem, not a "fax modem".  My printer is also a scanner but not a fax.
Scanning the Help Wanted ads, they often want you to fax your resume.
Anyone know of any free reliable fax software so I can send my ...
Dave Y award nominee23 Jan 2005 12:09 GMT2
Another contender is Bev and her B&C stories.
One which makes me giggle is Bonnie - Foot Dance.  Can be seen in
google at http://tinyurl.com/57ph3
Another: B&C - Paper http://tinyurl.com/6eee9
Advice please - long hair issue re Smudge23 Jan 2005 11:32 GMT9
So, Smudge is a longhaied barn kitty, well equipped for the weather and
loving her huge territory.
BUT
She has these huge fur clots behind each ear.
Looking back... (kinda OT)23 Jan 2005 09:15 GMT3
I think my paternal grandmother, Grandma Mac, could have used a cat.  She
was a recluse, much like myself.  (Also a lousy housekeeper, much like
myself.)  And she had the odd distinction of having been divorced during
WWII, which was virtually unheard of! and never married again.  ...
The beautiful, unbreakable spirit of a kitten23 Jan 2005 04:52 GMT25
Scarlett seems to be doing ok. She's adjusting to her current
situation, and even seems to be very happy when she gets to come
out of the cage when I get home from work. She is obviously feeling
better because she plays and runs up to Rhett, Shamrock and Bonnie
