Thanks 25 Dec 2004 22:27 GMT1
With all the friends from the group who are having a hard time this
holiday season, I'd like to take a minute to say that I'm grateful for
all the things I've got.  I don't have my health, but at least I don't
hurt all the time and rarely need even an aspirin.  There are things I

I did! I did taw a puddy tat!
Walked into my living room.  The sun is shining towards the closed blinds
and there's a shadow on the blinds.  At first I thought "squirrel".  Then it
turned its head; that's no squirrel, it's a puddy tat!

I was visiting PetsMart and.. well... I made my fatal error. I visited the
cat adoption center.
$200 later I'm mommy to a whooping 12 week old bigdaddy maine coon boy named

I'm afraid it's bulk Purr time.
I just swapped out the drives on my PC and decided to upgrade to XP at the
same time. Unfortunately Outlook insists on confusing my Mail & News
accounts. The only simple solution was to kill my groups and set them up
Catching up - and clueless neighbor rant25 Dec 2004 18:21 GMT6
Well, RL has been keeping me busy this week with a combination of a
couple lawn care customers wanting their yards cleaned before
Christmas, and the night job delivering pizza. Sooo, I'm WAY behind,
and am sending purrs and holiday wishes out to everyone before I start
Back to normal25 Dec 2004 17:12 GMT2
Chablis seems fully recovered from her injuries.  I was still watching her
pretty closely the last few days, as she was sleeping more than normal.
Which is saying alot for a kitten.
But, as of now, there has been no re-occurence of the limp, no further
Berfert is really ill :-(25 Dec 2004 16:16 GMT49
Berfert stopped eating today, so we rushed him into TED.  Turns out that
the Berf probably has either bacterial or fungal pneumonia.  There was a
small lump in his lungs that TED said could be from all the fluid on the
baby's lungs, but he suspects cancer.
Eros update (still at shelter)25 Dec 2004 15:46 GMT8
I visited Eros today; I figured he needed a pre-Christmas visit.
The shelter manager just handed me a condo key; didn't even bother with having
someone let me in or out.  I guess I visit enough that I seem trustworthy =P
This is much better than my last visit, when someone at the ...
A little chatty tonight25 Dec 2004 14:56 GMT2
This is about Bonnie. Back when I first saw her as a little cat
eating from the stray cats food bowls, I used to call her Baby
Shadow. That's the name that is on her first vet records from the
clinic when she was spayed. She just made me think of what Shadow
Merry Christmas25 Dec 2004 14:49 GMT1
For those of you who celebrate it, a very merry Christmas!
My dear friend KK in Indiana's holiday box arrived today.  It's
usually about all I get except what I get for myself.  She has such
interesting things she finds!  She sent me some interesting teas, a
Berfert is still with us25 Dec 2004 13:54 GMT15
Berfert is still with us, but it is a fight and a half to keep him
going.  He doesn't want us to put any thing on him to get him warm,
fights being put into any warm place and has rejected any attempts to
pill him.

I am trying to keep up but I now have 398 unread.
Purrs and prayers for those who need them who I have surely missed.

Solstice25 Dec 2004 11:43 GMT31
The light starts coming back after today!
My grandmother would say "Run out in your bikini!"
--Actually it was my grandfather who taught me the "slide on the ice"
poem!
