Home at last!29 Dec 2004 01:32 GMT3
Well, I'm finally home from Northern California and back in Southern
California, although the weather was the same, cold, windy and rainy
Imp and Mischief were happy to see me, although I didn't see Imp for a
while.  My roomie told me a funny story.
Here kitty kitty..... SNATCH!28 Dec 2004 23:11 GMT3
I think I've got to steal the neighbors cat.
It's a wee fuzzy thing, with big snarls behind each ear.  It hangs out at
our barn, so for a long time I thought it was a wild cat and tried to make
it a barn cat.  It usually runs away when we go out there.
Snow Pictures28 Dec 2004 22:14 GMT8
If anyone's interested, I've put a few of the pictures I took the day
after the Great Ohio Valley Christmas Snow Storm Of The Century (TM)
up on my website (ok, no one's calling it that yet, but give the media
types time...).
From Maggie about Matilda the Hun28 Dec 2004 21:09 GMT2
Here's one for your cat group -
Remember how Miss Tilly has to have a taste of the milk left in my cereal
bowl? (She gets less than 1/2 teaspoon).  Well, the other day she was
impatient for me to finish, so she got up on my knee with two feet on the
(OT) American Bashing...A Canadian Perspective28 Dec 2004 21:06 GMT10
OK, Once I woke up from my x-mass haze of food/booze & parties...I HAD to
respond to this... So here we go.... All cut peices of  Catnipped's post
will appear in quotation marks:
"Only America can say it has liberated many countries from occupation or
Nose Rubs28 Dec 2004 21:05 GMT7
Persia likes to have the bridge of her nose rubbed.  She comes up to me when
she's feeling particularly snuggly and if I pat the top of her head she
turns her face up so I can rub the bridge of her nose.  She starts purring
like mad.  This leads to her rubbing her face on my hand ...
Cats and meditation28 Dec 2004 20:48 GMT9
I've decided that I need to take up meditation again for the sake of my
blood pressure and my sanity.  (Work stuff, mostly office vibes, is
stressing me out and I don't do this kind of stress well.)  However, I
haven't done this since before I was claimed by Brenna, so I'm trying ...
Purrs for those having a hard time this holiday season ...28 Dec 2004 19:18 GMT2
I know this season is rough on a lot of us; even on me, and I don't even have
any good reasons for that to be the case.
Anyway, if any of you watched Buffy at all, there's an episode where a demon
comes into town and everyone starts singing their real feelings ... and of
Problem Solved28 Dec 2004 18:54 GMT10
Our six year old Siamese, Jake always seemed like a fairly smart cat until
just recently.  A couple of months ago we had some of the trees in the front
yard pruned back.  Jake was in the habit of using one tree to get on and off
the roof.  Only with it pruned, he could jump on to ...
Feline Apologies28 Dec 2004 17:02 GMT4
By popular demand!  Carried over from the "OBSCENE badness at the
kennel" thread
Dear VET:
Thank you for making me feel better when I was sick.  Please let me
This morning and tonight28 Dec 2004 16:50 GMT3
Late last night, I had the kitty stocking (for Abi) stuffed with catnipped
toys hanging on the door handle. This morning, said stocking was strewn
helter skelter by my two nipheads. The boy is asleep innocently perched in
his fastly becoming normal spot. I guess Santa Claws came ...
Berfert's  Medical Has Been Covered28 Dec 2004 15:43 GMT2
Thanks to you all, Berfert's medical expenses have been taken care of.
We all really appreciate the help you have given us.  The purrs and
candles have helped enormously as well.  You are the greatest group of
people in the world.
Am I the only one............28 Dec 2004 15:27 GMT17
who sometimes thinks it might be nice to have a tail like a cat?   Would be
quite useful to be able to flick the end back and forth in warning......STAY
AWAY  FROM  ME  OR  ELSE!
Would also be grand to be able to wave it around and around when feeling
Ping Britta28 Dec 2004 12:30 GMT11

also effecting Thailand
(http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200412/s1272406.htm).  Are you

I just left a voicemail message for her.  I haven't seen her post in the
last couple of days.
