| Kitty nursemaids | 06 Dec 2004 08:57 GMT | 6 |
I really didn't feel very good today (hormones and homesickness combined...) and when I tried to give Silver her eyedrops she fought me so hard that I ended up letting her go because I was afraid I was going to hurt her if I kept on trying, then sitting in the big

| Bad pet sitter story/Do you ever take your kitty on visits to family? | 06 Dec 2004 07:17 GMT | 53 |
We had a HORRIBLE thanksgiving weekend. The pet sitter we hired basically defrauded us and didn't do the job that we paid her for. We were lucky we figured out what was going on because Steve had put in an alarm system that allows you to see when the system was armed and

| Offline for a week | 06 Dec 2004 05:34 GMT | 7 |
I'm leaving for Taiwan and Japan tomorrow morning and I probably won't have time to read the group. So, here are advanced purrs for all those who might need it. I'll read y'all next Sunday!

| Times you wish you had a camera! | 06 Dec 2004 04:40 GMT | 10 |
I have this large room set up as a kitty play room, with crates, beds, shelves, a 5' wooden ladder, chair and "Tiny Tykes" toddler climbing tower, (pix can be seen at this addy: http://tinyurl.com/6b3k6)which I bought at a garage sale. My hubby was a little puzzled by my buying it, ...

| OT - New Angel | 06 Dec 2004 03:56 GMT | 52 |
Some of you know I was upset that the baby angel that I put on Eric's grave soon after he died was gone this summer, and I do understand because trinkets of this sort aren't exactly "approved" as grave decorations. Still, it hurt; the angel I put on his grave meant a lot

| I didn't know you, Sooty | 06 Dec 2004 01:56 GMT | 9 |
I've never met my mother's cousin, but I heard today, her cat Sooty, who she loved, had to be PTS due to advanced cancer. He was only 12 years old and even though I never knew him this news has still upset me.

| A kitty fairy tale, with moral | 06 Dec 2004 00:51 GMT | 7 |
DP and I saw this story play out yesterday morning: Once upon a time, Kumani found the perfect spot to sleep in. It was warm and soft and shaped like a cat. It was on top of some of the pillows in the bed. Kumani crept into the "princess perch" for a nap.

| Hoppy Purrday, Thea! | 06 Dec 2004 00:51 GMT | 18 |
Hoppy Purrday to grey cat Thea in Sweden, the Mad Head-Butter (I've had the pleasure of meeting Thea, and she would not stop head-butting my face). Hope you had some sunny spots to sleep in (it was a very grey day here in Helsinki), nice treats and that Bono was nice to you.

| A question... advice | 06 Dec 2004 00:08 GMT | 21 |
Far be it for me to attempt to understand the innermost workings of the logic of the feline brain, but can anyone tell me what finding clean, cat-bite-sized, chunks of loo roll in Waffles's food dish could mean? Yours in puzzlement, helen s

| Who did you sleep with last night? :-) | 05 Dec 2004 23:17 GMT | 40 |
Upon awakening this morning I noticed that I seemed to have many companions with me in bed. Besides my husband there was the dog, the cat, a squirrel, a penguin, a kangaroo, a pair of socks and a calculator. Sounds like the start of a dirty joke, doesn't it? ;-)

| I Cleared The Screen!!! | 05 Dec 2004 22:21 GMT | 3 |
That means I can stop playing for the day. :) (I've played way too many times today, trying to clear that d*mn screen.) And now, I have finally won. Oh, I know it's not the end, for good. But I can put it away for the

| I wasn't thinking straight | 05 Dec 2004 21:57 GMT | 5 |
The right thing to do didn't come to me in a timely manner yesterday. Walking in the town square, my curiousity finally got the best of me and I walked into an office where I have always seen a sign on the door saying "Don't let the cats out, no matter what they tell you." Last time ...

| Cat carriers | 05 Dec 2004 21:51 GMT | 56 |
For several years, I used cat carriers with wood bottoms and ends and wire mesh covering. They allowed the cats to see out, but were very heavy, especially when I had to take two cats to the vet. Then I discovered the cardboard carriers, which are much lighter. They do have

| Now that he's back home... | 05 Dec 2004 20:15 GMT | 8 |
Antonio is a semi-feral, probably more on the feral side than semi. Before he went missing, I could only pet him if he was on his blankie on the sofa, or on the bed. He also hardly ever meowed. Now, he's rubbing up against my legs, lets me pet him, he actually rolled over to ...

| Well that didn't take long... | 05 Dec 2004 19:05 GMT | 26 |
So I moved into my new house back in October and decided to keep the cats in for another month just so they'd be sure that this was now their house. In that time they've discovered the joy of stairs and the problems of hard wood floors. They've never been anywhere with stairs ...
