EEEEEEKKKK!  Pictures With Sandy Paws07 Dec 2004 18:41 GMT20
I brought Sammy over to PetsMart to get her picture taken with Sandy Paws!
For some reason we were the only cat in line - there were about 20 d*gs
wandering around, but I didn't see one other cat.
A 110 pound German Shepherd barked at her as she was standing up in the back
Thanks for all the purrs07 Dec 2004 18:41 GMT2
Since I'm a little ....  errmmm... busy I'm not going to try to respond
to each individual post but I just want to say think you all so very
much for your support.  Its been comforting knowing that so many of us
have gone through this and survived and hearing your stories.
Harri photos07 Dec 2004 18:41 GMT17
I just posted a couple Harri walk photos on a.b.p.a, and at
http://ilovemypets.net/harri/20041205/.
They are much poorer images than I expected - this cheap digicam of mine
is even cheaper than I thought!
Purrs for Jazz's visit to the vet07 Dec 2004 18:41 GMT12
Jazz has to go in to see the vet on Tuesday for his yearly checkup and
shots. We are 3 months late this year because I had a lot of health problems
myself and just couldn't find the time or the energy to take him.
He's fine, no problems, except that he needs to be absolutely ...
An Early Christmas Story [OT]07 Dec 2004 18:18 GMT3
In regards to the thread about commercialism, maybe we could take a lesson
from this poignant little story...

argh, here we go again....07 Dec 2004 15:09 GMT8
Right around US Thanksgiving every year, Buck seems to get it into her
head that it's time to do something that looks like a heat cycle.
Trilling, yowling (though not *that* loud), "presenting," rolling
around on the floor and pulling herself along her back by her front
OT: For all you who've had kids07 Dec 2004 12:15 GMT1
I was round at my brother's today.  He has three children under five.
It's quite cold here at the moment, and my brother took his second child,
Thomas aged 3 in this coming January into the garden.
So, breath was visible in the air.
Bring me the shades dude... semi OT07 Dec 2004 09:40 GMT7
Now Nathan is cycling during hours of darkness, he & his bike have been
adapted. Nathan has gone off this morning looking as bright as the mothership
from Close Encounters ;-) He has:-

Nanki-Poo is feeling his oats07 Dec 2004 06:43 GMT8
I think Nanki-Poo must have been sick when I brought him home, even
though it wasn't noticeable.  He did a lot of hiding, and seemed afraid
of Lindy.  In fact, once he got outside, he spent three days outside,
hiding because Lindy wouldn't let him in the house.
[OT] A Real Groaner...07 Dec 2004 06:39 GMT1
(stolen from another group)
An Australian Bushland farmer decided one day that he would sell his
cattle as a cash protection against a predicted drought. He called a
cattle buyer who examined the bovines and set a price. Deciding it was

And do they have the traits of that sign?
Bandit and Sammy are Aries - here's the traits of an Aries...
The Sun blazed in dynamic Aries, a fire sign on your birthday. The Sun in
astrology stands for your inner nature, the light of your essential
Stress Management [OT]07 Dec 2004 03:27 GMT7
I know this has been around the 'net a lot, but it bears repeating...
A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass
of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water?" Answers called out
ranged from 20g to 500g. The lecturer replied, "The ...
Shriek!!  HaPpY dAnCiNg!!!07 Dec 2004 02:05 GMT19
Today was a holiday card bonanza - I got *FOUR* cards in the mail when I got
home.  I can't help it, I started crying.  I've never gotten this many cards
for Christmas in my entire life (I was never a popular person, too shy, too
weird, to much of a crazy cat lady!!)  ;>
dumb question; what does TED stand for?07 Dec 2004 01:40 GMT3
In the USA the doctor that treats pets is called a veterinarian, and we
commonly say we took the cat to the vet.  I see references on this group to
taking the cat to TED that sounds like the same thing.
one for the cat- and craft-lovers07 Dec 2004 01:13 GMT5
