Abandonment!!09 Dec 2004 01:14 GMT12
Oh dear! Poor Waffles.
Nathan cycles to college & this morning has been his first *test* as this
morning it was dark with freezing fog and frost on the ground. He's well lit &
swathed in reflectives and fluorescents and he cycles responsibly, but I still

Clyde has gone :(09 Dec 2004 00:51 GMT30
I think something has happened to Clyde.   He disappeared at around
mid-day and I haven't seen him since.   He never goes far away and it
will be the first time that Bonnie will be sleeping alone.   She has
been searching for him and it is so sad - they have never been
Purrs for a former co-worker09 Dec 2004 00:47 GMT21
I re-interviewed with this company after not having worked there for 13
years.  I was irked because while I got the grand tour and felt the
interview went well, the man who interviewed me (who was also a former
co-worker) never contacted me to say "sorry, no" and pretty much ignored ...
Catnip.  The good stuff this time.09 Dec 2004 00:43 GMT37
I have a friend who has three cats, and while she was driving me to hospital
the last time, I asked her whether hers liked catnip or not.  She said two
of them did, and one was absolutely mad about it.
I told her that I'd bought Kitty & BF a catnip mouse (no interest) and then
Duffy's wonderful toy09 Dec 2004 00:38 GMT14
As many you know, Duffy is blind and wonderful.  He loves to play with small
toys, but doesn't toss them around as much as Holly does because he can't
see where it is going.  He does like to toss and bounce little toys that
make some noise; he can easily continue to poune on them ...
purrs for Sesame please09 Dec 2004 00:34 GMT32
Hey all,
Sesame was not herself this morning so she's been off to see TED. She has a
bad tooth that is causing a problem with her eye... we have some antibiotics
and some blood was taken so we are waiting for test results now.
Purrs for Pan09 Dec 2004 00:32 GMT46
This is not a life-threatening situation, but I feel terrible about it,
nonetheless.  Today, Pan and I were in the kitchen, and I stepped back at
just the wrong moment, not realizing he was right behind me.  I've stepped
on plenty of little paws in my life, but until now, never with ...
Purrs for a Cat worker09 Dec 2004 00:11 GMT27
A woman whom I saw many, many times bringing kitties and taking kitties from
the vet and who volunteered ceaselessly for our local rescue, The Cat House,
died this weekend in a car accident. She was supposed to play Santa at this
weekends cat adoption event at Petco. I knew that the ...
sillybilly!08 Dec 2004 23:06 GMT3
I'm sitting at the computer desk writing Scout's story, and Silver
comes tearing up behind me, sticks a claw into my shoulder on the way
past (ouch!), jumps over the keyboard onto the computer desk, sticks
her nose into my glass, and drinks my water! What IS it about
best wishes08 Dec 2004 22:55 GMT27
I don't get to post nearly as much as I'd like (RL is a b*tch that
way!) and didn't get my act together to join in with the card
exchange, so I am taking this opportunity to wish everyone on this
remarkable group a very happy festive season, regardless of religious
It was my fault08 Dec 2004 20:49 GMT5
Two bouts of destruction tonight.
It was my fault.
Christmas cactus (almost blooming) tumbled to the floor.
It was my fault.
my purry boy08 Dec 2004 20:38 GMT7
Licky likes to curl up on my desk between me and the keyboard, when
I'm on the computer. He's here right now as I type, with his head
on my right arm, his front paw on my wrist, and his butt up against
my left arm. Amazingly, I can type just fine like this. I'm used to
Sammy and Santa08 Dec 2004 16:48 GMT15
OK, the digital pictures are ready (and I thought *I* had a crappy digital
camera - sheesh, if I had thought about it beforehand I would have brought
my camera too!).
I can *NOT* believe how laid-back and blase' Sammy was sitting on Sandy
OT My Trip to Texas - long08 Dec 2004 15:43 GMT11
Phew.  Where to start.  I guess I will start by thanking everyone for
helping me get there to see my sister who really did need my support and
I guess for me who really did need to see my sister just because I
needed to see her.  The trip was good for both of us and we got things ...
