Had enough of this @#%*!!! phone!18 Dec 2004 19:25 GMT7
On Monday morning, Louie and I both came down with the stomach flu of
pure evil. I'm talking the kind where we're fighting over the bathroom,
and I don't mean for a nice relaxing dip in the tub. My symptoms
subsided enough for me to return to work yesterday, but the nasty little

Greetings from a desk absolutely *buried* under RPCA holiday cards :)
I've just updated my photo albums, which have been criminally neglected
for most of the year. There's some cute kitty pictures from my trip to
Hong Kong last May - you can check them out here:

I've lagged behind on reading rpca and just got caught up. Have just
been too busy and too tired to participate a lot, but now I have two
whole weeks off from work and plan to only chill out, play bubbels, eat
chocolate and generally enjoy myself. Will have more time for my ...

I really wish I could claim authorship of this, but I can't. Don't know who the
author is. Originally seen posted on another newsgroup.

UPDATE #6    Re: Mimi not feeling well.18 Dec 2004 13:46 GMT3
We started Mimi's atibiotic last night, before we went to bed (instructions
said every 12 hours), and kept her in the bedroom with us last night (the
only kitty onna big soft sleeping place, Weeble is a bit jealous of her),
and she woke me every two hours as she wanted out.  I ...

Yahoo!!  NO more Finals!!  No school for 2 weeks!!  Yeehaa!!
I think I did okay on most of my finals.  My lab animal final this
morning I was totally guessing.  I had memorized the important numbers,
but a lot of questions I was pulling answers out of thin air.
UPDATE #4    Re: Mimi not feeling well.18 Dec 2004 12:19 GMT12
Yesterday, Mimi acted a whole lot better, but today she threw up (I think it
was her - there was some on my chair, and she had been there earlier, but so
had Tennessee, Weeble & Ernie - at different times), it wasn't much.  Later
I followed her to the litterbox and her stool was ...

As is traditional at work, we got together for our last "all staff meeting"

Carols inthe foyer of our reception area (it has nice acoustics).
Again, this year, we sang a mix of traditional carols and ...

News and Holiday Stuff18 Dec 2004 06:07 GMT1
I haven't been able to manage much computer time lately as DH and I have
started house hunting to go along with all the Christmas shopping and
whatnot.  He's been bit by the "I want a house" bug (which is closely
related to the "I want puppies" bug, DH being a self-proclaimed d*g ...
Casey is interested in mirrors18 Dec 2004 06:01 GMT1
My cat Casey is 9 and has never shown much interest in mirrors before, but
within the last 2 weeks, he meows to get to the bathroom vanity and look
into the mirror.  He is a Himmie and Himmies don't jump up higher than 3',
so he needs me to put the toilet seat down for a stepping ...
Oh good grief - HELP!18 Dec 2004 05:56 GMT9
My cats have been placed on Science Diet MD formula.
Okay - great - I''m glad they are finally making a cat food specifically for
cats instead of treating them like small dogs.  I'm glad this will help Joe
Kitty get more healthy, and prevent possible problems down the line.
