This afternoon a bathtub dropped on my head. I was stunned but not knocked
out and have had ice on it since but I don't feel quite right. I'm not up to
driving anywhere and of course it's Friday night so the doc is closed
anyhow. Would appreciate purrs that there won't be any ...

Harvey's new favorite thing19 Dec 2004 10:20 GMT2
Harvey loves to get in people's lap, knead their arms for a few minutes, then
leap away, like NINJA.
I wish he would knead longer, it feels good.
job-related purr request19 Dec 2004 05:59 GMT42
Since February, I have been working just part-time, and at a reduced
pay rate, and therefore have been looking for a new full-time job.  I
had a job interview today that sounded like I will probably be
offered the position, although they said that they had a few more
Advice & purrs needed19 Dec 2004 03:08 GMT11
We have a new inmate in the asylum: Lucifer, a black Maine Coon about 8
years old.  His owners posted on the Maine Coon Rescue list that they
had to surrender him, because despite their best efforts to work with
him, he didn't get along with their new baby (to the extent of ...
Really special Kitty treat19 Dec 2004 00:55 GMT28
I was out to dinner at my neighbour's last night, and we had trout, proper
wild trout caught by my neighbour.    It was absolutely yummy, perfectly
cooked and pink like the finest salmon.
I asked my neighbours if they would mind if I saved a bit for Kitty and
Totally OT: Ow19 Dec 2004 00:29 GMT37
I'm convinced I've broken my toe.  My little toe.  Is there any point
going to my doc about this?  ISTR there's nothing that can be done about
broken toes; they just have to heal of their own accord.  Anyone got any
advice for me?
Purrs for Archie - HE'S BACK19 Dec 2004 00:18 GMT19
My daughter's teacher came to me crying this morning.  Archie was recovered
by the local humane society, albeit very thin and with the frostbitten tips
of his ears gone.  She felt that something had shifted when you all became
involved and sincerely believes that everybody's ...
I'm back - And THANK YOU ALL18 Dec 2004 23:42 GMT35
Well, after two months with no i-net access and several weeks trying to
figger out WHY the fershlugginer new puter wouldn't connect, I'm finally
on-line.
I've recently heard about how you all reacted to my disappearance/loss. The
Warning - virus attached to some e-greetings (somewhat OT)18 Dec 2004 22:28 GMT5
This is somewhat off-topic, but I thought it was appropriate because many of
us are sending e-greetings at this time of year.
Be careful when opening electronic greetings.  Here is part of a report that
I read on CNN, which warns of a new virus.  You need to watch for
Do your cats like to vent in the morning?18 Dec 2004 19:25 GMT84
Now that the colder weather has set in. Cali has started sleeping on the

He couldn't fix it18 Dec 2004 19:25 GMT10
When my husband Peter is in bed, he uses an assisted breathing machine
which pushes air into his lungs and out again through a tube attached
to his nostrils.  This tube goes up the outside of his nose, attaches
to a cap which Peter wears on his head and is then attached to another
